Ch.17 Father issues

Shinigami sighs as she watches her father, Dr. Kobayashi through a window door as he works on chemicals. Taking a deep breath, she enters the room. He notices her.

"Luna" He whispers.

Shinigami doesn't reply to that name.

"I just wanted to check if you where okay, father" Shinigami said.

She expected him to scowld her, say look what you got me into or I told you to make friends with bad kids or even your a disappointment I expected batter from my daughter.

But he didn't, he just smiled relived at her.

"I'm just glad you okay... have you been experiencing side effects of the mutagen X ?" Kobayashi asks.

"Why the hell do you even care all of sudden ?" Shinigami snares.

"Luna please, I got to know the mutagen X is highly unstable that it can kill of you where exposed too much of it ?" Kobayashi begs.

"I just been struggling with my telporation that's all" Shinigami shrugs.

"Is that all ?" Kobayashi asks, unsure of her answer.

"Yes" Shinigami mutters. "Is that all dad ?" Shinigami asks wanting to leave.

"Please stay, I haven't seen you lately" Dr. Kobayashi said almost desperately.

Shinigami scoffs.

"Isn't that going against what you said when you where kidnapped, I recall you saying and qutoe "We can't have the foot knowing I'm your father.... it's best that we barely speak to each other" Shinigami said, giving him a glare.

"Not that's anything new from you" Shinigami mutters.

"Luna,I'm sorry but it was to keep you safe..."

"Yeah where was that movaition when I needed you the most" Shinigami snares as tears pricked her eyes.

"Luna..."

"Why do you suddenly care about me ?" Shinigami snares.

"Becauses with the mutagen X in your system, I might loses you !" Koyabshi shouts, tears streaming down his face.

Shinigami looks at him, now seeing a man full of regret.

"Please all I asks is 30 mintues of your time" Kobayashi begs.

"To check my blood ?" Shinigami asks.

"I have to make sure" Kobayashi whispers.

"Fine 30 mintues that's it" Shinigami said.

Mikey fidles with his fingers as he looks at Hamtoe Yoish and Leo.

"I thought I saw dad steal mutagen X.... I have this strange feeling, that maybe he's going do something with it" Mikey explains.

"Dad always been weird but not this extremely" Leo said.

"I just don't know Leo, I don't want to believe Kirby won't do this with out a reason" Mikey said.

"Go what your heart thinks Mikey" Splinter whispers.

Mikey nods, having this strange feeling about.

Shinigami waits as her father looks over DNA through a microscope. He looks up at her with uncertain look.

"What did you find ?" Shinigami asks

"Your body is full of elecornal kronrods, that shocks your heart, if you shed blood or get shocked more the kronrods will shock you, until your nevouers system is weakened" Kobayashi explains.

"So like any gifts... they come with a price" Shinigami mutters.

"Theses powers that anyone gets from mutagen are cursed... for the months that an victim has them they're at risk of thire heart stopping" Dr. Kobayashi explains.

"Wait my powers are only temporary ?" Shinigami asks shocked.

"Yes but your at risk... I can't loses you like...." Dr. Kobayashi Pauses. "Like I lost your mother" He whispers.

Shinigami stands up whipping her tears away.

"When she died You already did loses me" Shinigami snares as she leaves The room, leaving a sadden Dr. Kobayashi behind.

He whips his tears away as looks at a picture of his youngerself, his deceased wife and his baby daughter.

"I'm sorry, I failed our daughter" he whispers as he sobs quitly.

Unkowning to them that Tigerclaw was watching them at the time.

Kirby looks at a purple and green vile examining it. After all this time he's finally completed his work. He smirks at the bats he used as refreances and dna samples. Then he frowns art the picture of his family.

"I'm done now, I can be with my family more" Kirby thought.
