chapter 5

Beca's pov.

We woke up about an hour ago and just finished eating.

"Alright, how are we going to cross this river?" chloe asks.

"We swim to the other side." stacie says.

"I can't swim, remember." i tell stacie.

"Use a piece of wood! You just hold it and we can pull you to the other side." stacie says.

Doesn't sound that bad at all, actually.

"Alright, let's do it."

Chloe's pov.

Beca, stacie, aubrey and i are still standing on the other side of the river while the rest of the girls are already on the other side.

"Alright, me and stacie are jumping in. Don't wait too long okay!" aubrey says.

We both nod and they jump in. We wait until they are halfway there before getting in ourselfs. I jump in and look at beca.

"Jump in! I got you!" i tell her.

She looks at the water and i see her getting scared.

"Becs, it's okay! Look at me! I'm not drowning, am i? I will make sure that your fine. Trust me." i say.

Beca looks at me and nods. She takes a deep breath and jumps in. I caught her and she throws her arms around my neck. I put my arms around her waist and keep us floating.

"I-i can't do this. I can't do this. I'm going to drown! Oh god, chloe bring me back!" beca says.

I just hold her closer and whisper in her ear.

"Shhhh, it's okay. I got you. You aren't going to drow. Just calm down, okay?"

i feel beca nod and start to slowly make my way towards the other girls. I hear beca's breath starting to get quicker.

"Hey becs, calm down. We're almost there. I got you, okay. I got you."

Stacie's pov.

Me and aubrey get out of the water just in time to see beca jumping in. Chloe catches her but they don't start to swim just yet. When i look closer, i see beca holding chloe really tight. Her eyes are also bigger. It looks like she's scared.

"Why aren't they swimming yet?" flo asks.

"Beca is too scared. Look at them. Chloe is trying to calm her down." i tell the girls.

"Poor thing." says emily.

After a few minutes they start to swim. I'm really proud of beca to do this. She even did it without the piece of wood. They are almost there when i see that beca her eyes fill with tears. I see chloe saying something to her but can't understand what it is. When they are close to us, i help pull beca and chloe out the water.

"I-i'm alive. I didn't drown?" beca asks.

Chloe starts to giggle.

"No becs, you didn't drown."

we all laugh and smile.

Beca's pov.

After that chloe and I got out off the water, we start to walk again. We have been walking for about three hours and i wonder how much longer we will have to walk.

"Hey stacie! How much further is it?" i ask her.

She points right infront of us.

"About five minutes."

i look up and see a cabin. I didn't realise that we were almost there! When we are about ten foot from the cabin we stop walking. This is a beautifull cabin! And really big.

"There is rooms for every pair of us, so we can keep the buddy system." stacie says.

We went inside and she gave us a tour. When we walked, the kitchen was on our left. To the right there was the living room. Right in front off us where the stairs to the bedrooms. Behind the stairs is a bathroom. We all walk upstairs and choose our rooms. Me and chloe chose the room at the right side. I lay down on the bed and close my eyes.

"Are you tired?" chloe asks me.

I open my eyes and look at her.

"A little. Are you?" i ask.

She shakes her head.

"Nope! Do you want to check out the lake?" chloe asks me.

My eyes widen. Is she going to teach me now!? Ohw god no! I'm not prepaird for this!

"Don't worry! It's just to look how big it is. We can start With the swimming lessons tomorrow." she says with a gentil smile.

I smile back and nod.

"Okay, we can check out the lake." i tell her.

She grabs my hand and pulls me out of the house.

Stacie's pov.

I see chloe pulling beca outside towards the lake.

"They are in a rush." aubrey says.

I smile and shrug.

"Mayby they finaly found out about eachothers toners and want to have a private  moment where no one can hear them, If you know what i mean." i say with a smirk.

Aubrey shakes her head and smiles.

"Yeah, i know what you mean." she says.

"So, who do you have a toner for?" i ask her.

She blushes.

"I-uh, no one." she says.

I look at her and raise my eyebrows.

"Ohw really?" i ask her.

She nods.

"Then why were you staring at my ass when i came out of the water?" i ask her.

She looks at me in shock.

"H-how do you know that?" she asks.

I shrug and smirk.

"I felt it. And i'm really flatterd that you have a crush on me. I honestly think i have a crush on you too." i tell her.

Okay, i didn't feel her looking. Emily may have told me that she saw aubrey staring. But i can't just tell aubrey that emily told me that. She would murder that poor child!

"Are you serious? Do you really like me?" aubrey asks.

I nod and lean in.

"What do you think?" i say before gently kissing her soft lips.

I was never so thankfull of emily trying to get people together.
