Chapter 9 Lonely Child

Lucy’s POV: I ended up getting the job.

I was over the moon and Chelsea was so happy for me but just after she found out they called back and said

"hello Lucy we were actually wondering if you would like to work in a school in Japan for twice the pay.

They all speak english and it will be a great experience." "Thank you that sounds great I will just need some time to think about it."

"No worries can you get back to me sometimes this week." "Sure, and thank you bye."

I hung up the phone and told Chelsea what they just told me.

I couldn't leave her.

I was her best friend and her first good friend since school.

But I have wanted to go to japan all my life plus it is double pay.

Argh this is such a hard decision. I told Chelsea and she said she was really happy for me but i could tell just by the way she said it, that she was heart broken.

“accept it” she said to me. “I would love to” I said “but I just can’t leave you on your own friendless and boy-friendless.”

“I want you to take it. I mean yes I will be so sad to see you go but it is something you have wanted for a while and I couldn’t stand to see you miss out on such an opportunity.” Chelsea said.

Chelsea’s POV: The day the Lucy was moving away was here I was quite sad but very happy for her. I drove her to the airport.

We hugged and said good bye. Then her flight was called and she went to get on.

“BYE” I said “I will miss you so much but we will talk on Skype” “Okay I will miss you too.” and she walked off.

I already felt like a lonely child now that she had left but I told her to go and I am happy.
