MUCH TO NATALIA'S dismay, the event was over in the blink of an eye. rosa was hobbling along side her as penny was skipping around like a feather dancing in the wind.

"we should totally have a trip to australia, we should go for the summer!" penny exclaimed.

"isn't that like christmas time though?" natalia replied.

"spend christmas in australia!" she squealed at her english friend, "it'll be so fun! you'd have so much fun." she gushed at the thought.

natalia would love to go to australia, though she couldn't bare feeling anymore homesick than she already did right now.

"we'd take care of you!" rosa chimed in, "did you know my ma knows chris hemsworth?"

natalia choked at rosa's words, "you what?"

"yeah! she looks after the kids." she said oh so casually.

"you're fucking joking, i love chris hemsworth what the fuck."

rosa giggled at natalia's expression, "more the reason for you to come to back to aus with us girl!"

natalia listened to the two girls rabbit on about god knows what, they were absolutely buzzed from excitement, more so than the free alcohol they abused. the two girls were not aware of her and timothée's late night meet up that was about to happen in about twenty minutes, though they could sense something was up after they watched their brief encounter from afar, but decided not to push it, especially as it wasn't the time nor place to do so.

when they got back to the hotel, the girls said goodnight to each other, drifting off to the own little rooms and calling it a night.

natalia decided that she would change into a jumper and a pair of leggings, not the most glamorous of outfits— but she was beyond caring.

it felt as though time has literally stopped as she waited, it was five past midnight when a soft tap sounded from the door. she didn't say a word when she opened the door, he didn't say a word when he entered the room.

a heavy silence filled the atmosphere as they both stood, neither knowing what to do or say at that very moment.

"did you want a drink?"

he shook his head, "nah—no, i'm alright. thank you." his voice was nervous and shaky, trying to steady it.

"i wanted to explain, seeing as you didn't give me a chance the other night." he finally spoke. she opened her mouth to say something before shutting it again, staying silent.

"i didn't know what i was doing, who i was with, where i was. it sounds stupid but, i've just been trying to find ways to let loose and forget. i thought us breaking up would be better and make me not feel guilty for not seeing you enough, but it made things worse. all i want to do is see you, feel you, talk to you. whenever i have something on my mind or i wanna tell someone something, i always think of you. i wish i could just call you up and tell you about my day, as you about yours. i wish i could randomly text you about bullshit at a stupid time of day. i realised i don't care if we don't see each other as much, just having you there, having you as mine was enough for me."
