Chapter 9

A few weeks later

Emilio has decided to stop vlogging so that he can take care of his family. Plus he just had no time. The "Martinez Twins" channel has turned into "Ivan and Rueben." It was a difficult decision but family is important to Emilio. He is still in the vlogs sometimes though.

Emilio's POV

I know it's what I had to do for my family but I still feel bad about leaving Youtube. I can't help but feel like my fans are disappointed in me. Like they're mad at me. I need to clear my head.
E:babe. I'm taking the car.
Y:why?
E:I need to clear my head.
Y:ok. Be careful.
E:I will.
I give her a quick kiss then grab the keys. I walk out the door and get in the car. I start to drive down the rode. I don't know where I'm going. I'm just going where the road takes me. I turn up the radio. I stop at the stop light and plug in the aux cord. I listen to my playlist. The light turns green and I start to drive once again.

A few minutes later

I realize where I am. The beach isn't far from here so I decide to go there.

I arrive at the beach and get out of the car. Luckily there isn't to many people here. I walk over to the edge of the water and take of my shoes. I start to walk with water rushing under my feet every now and then.
I get a text from Cassidy.

Y: babe? Where are you? Are you ok?
E: I'm fine. Be home in a little while
Y: plz be careful babe
E:don't worry about me I'm just fine
Y:ok
End of messages

I sit down on the sand. I watch as the waves crash. I start to feel relaxed. I lay down on the sand. I take a deep breath and relax, trying to forget about everything. I just focus on the sound of the waves. I feel so relaxed and free of stress. I get a text message. I sigh and take out my phone from my pocket. I look at the text. It's from the unknown number again.

Unknown: found ya!
E: who are you and what do you want?
Unknown: her
E:who?
Unknown: your wife dumb a**
E:no. I don't care what you do to me but you are not going to hurt her do you understand me
Unknown: you can't protect her when you can't see her
E: what dose that mean?

Of course,no reply. I put my shoes on and get up off the sand. I dust myself off and walk back to the car. I drive back home. No one hurts my family.

A few minutes later
As I'm driving, I'm once again listening to my playlist. I start singing along.
E: I'm the one yeah,I'm the one!
I get caught up in the song and didn't notice the car I front of me. It's on the wrong side of the road and coming straight for me! I try to turn and get off the road but next thing I known their headlights are on and I'm blinded. We crash together.

The ambulance and police arrive. The paramedics help me out of the car and on a gurney. A police officer walks over to me.
Officer: sir? What is your name?
E:E..Emilio.
The officer starts to write something down in what seems like a notebook. I feel weak. My eyes start to get heavy.
E:m..my wife. S..she..
Officer: she what?
My eyes start to close.
Officer: take him to the hospital, NOW!
The paramedics roll me into the ambulance and the next thing I know, all I see is darkness.
