Chapter 10

Your POV

It's now eight o'clock and I'm worried about Emi. He hasn't answered his calls or texts. Ivan and Rueben have tried to. We're all worried.
Y: come on girls. We're going to Uncle Ivan's house.
A:but I'm tired.
Y:I know honey.
Em:where's Daddy?
Y:Daddy's fine.
I walk out the door with the twins and head to Ivan's house.
I knock on the door and he quickly answers and let's us in.
Y:I'll take you to the guest room so you can sleep,ok?
Em&A: ok
I walk upstairs and put the girls to bed. I walk back downstairs.
Y:what are we gonna do guys? I'm freaking out.
I:calm down.
He rubs my arms to comfort me.
I: maybe we should call the police.
R:yeah.
Y:I'll do it.
I grab my phone and start to dial 9..
I get a phone call. I quickly answer it.
Y:hello?
Hospital: hello. Is this Cassidy Martinez?
Y:yes.
Hospital: I'm calling about your husband Emilio, he's been in a car accident.
Y: I'm coming right away.
I quickly hang up.
I: what?!
Y: he's been in a car accident.
I:oh my god!
R:you guys go to the hospital. I'll stay here with the twins and Caitlyn.
Y:thanks Reuben!
R:no problem.
I grab Caitlyn's car keys and borrow her car and drive to the hospital.

At the hospital

Ivan and I rush up to the front desk.
Y:Emilio Martinez.
Nurse: ok,let me see. So, he was in a pretty bad car accident and needs some surgery on his left arm and left foot. His arm was broken and his foot was only fractured. He has a few scraps but other than that, he's fine.
Ivan and I both sigh in relief. The nurse gave us the room number that he is in and rush down the hallway to find it. We find it and walk in. He's asleep on his hospital bed. I walk over to him. I feel tears form. He is all scratched up and his left arm and foot is wrapped up. I grab his hand. Ivan grabs us a chair and we sit beside him. I can't help but cry. I lay my head down in my hands and Ivan rubs my back while sniffing and trying not to cry as well. I can't believe this. The love of my life got in a car accident.
