Chapter 12

It's been three days and Emi still hasn't woke up. Every time I visit him I cried and cried for hours. But can you blame me? The love of my life is in a coma! But anyways, Ivan and Rueben won't let me go for a couple of days because of it. They see him everyday and I don't. It's so freaking annoying!

Later
Ivan's POV

I:Cassidy! We're leaving! Be back later!
I yelled from downstairs.
Y:ok! See ya!
Rueben and I walk out the door and get in the uber and head to the hospital to see my brother.

Hospital

We walk into Emilio's room. Still not awake. I walk over to him and sit down on the chair next to his bed.
I: hey bro. I know you probably can't hear me right now but oh well. I'm gonna say it anyway. We're all doing fine so don't worry about us. The babies are fine and healthy and Cassidy is,well, I don't know. She cries every so often. She's worried about you,bro. She needs you. We need you. Come on, wake up bro. I know you can. You're strong. You're a savage.

Emilio's POV

I can hear everything,but I can't do or feel anything. I hear the door open and someone walk in. Wait, make that two people walk in. I hear Ivan's voice.
I:hey bro. I know you probably can't here me right now but oh well. I'm gonna say it anyway. ......
and Cassidy is,well, I don't know.
CASSIDY!!
I:she cries every so often. She's worried about you,bro. She needs you. We need you.
Cassidy! Mi amor! I need to wake up, for her. I try to move. I try to move my fingers, doesn't work. I try moving my leg, doesn't work. I try harder and harder. I can't give up. I need to wake up.

Ivan's POV

The doctor walked in to check on Emilio. Rueben and I step to the side and let him do his job.

He lets out a "hmm" and writes something down.
D: it seems like, he's trying to do something.
I:what do you mean?
D:I think he's trying to...move.
Rueben and I gasp and look over at each other and back to Emilio.
You can do it bro. You can do it.

A few minutes later

The doctor walks in the room.
D: you're really close to Emilio,right?
I:yeah.
D:well, if my calculations are correct, there is a big chance that if you talk to him and encourage him, he just might wake up. That is if you're really close and he cares about you.
I:ok. Thanks doctor. I'll try.
He smiles and nods at me then walked out the door.
I walk over to my brother and sit down.
R:I'm going to get something to drink. Want anything?
I:yeah. A water?
R:alright.
I:thanks bro.
He smiles and nods at me and walks out of the room.
I:Emilio. Bro. I know you can wake up. Come on! You're a savage!
I feel a knot in my throat and tears trying to form. I sniff and put my hand on Emilio's shoulder.
I: come on,bro.
Wait. I know what to do.

Emilio's POV

I hear Ivan talking to me again.
I:Emilio. Bro. I know you can wake up. Come on! You're a savage!

Yes,yes I am bro. And I'm trying. I really am.
I try again. Nothing.

Your POV

I get a phone call from Ivan.
Y:hello?
I:Cassidy! You need to come to the hospital.
Y:on my way.

Oh no. Is Emi okay? I quickly grab the twins and put them in the car. I text Caitlyn.

Y:hey I'm dropping off the twins for a while I'm going to the hospital
C:ok I'll watch them
Y:thanks sis❤️
C:no prob 👍🏻

I start the car.
A:Mommy? Where are we going?
Y: you're going to aunt Caitlyn's house for a while. She wants to see you.
A&Em: yay! Aunty's house!

Hospital

I quickly find Emi's room and I walk in.
Y:I'm here! What's wrong?
I:the doctor said that someone who is really close to him can possibly wake him up. I've tried. Reuben tried. I think you're  the only one that  can do it
I walk over to Emi and sit in the chair beside him.
I:we're going to go get something to eat. Ok?
Y:ok.
R:call if you need anything.
I nod. They walk out of the room.

Y:hey Emi. It's Cassidy.
I hold his hand and squeeze it.

Y: I miss you, babe. I need you. I need you by my side. I need you to comfort me and kiss me when I need it. I really need it right now.

I squeeze his hand tighter.

Y:the twins need their daddy. They think you're at a friend's house for a couple of days. I didn't want to tell them the truth because they wouldn't understand. They've caught me crying multiple times but I just told them that one of my dogs died back home. That's not the truth either. Please wake up Emi. I love you so so much.

I lay my head down on his shoulder and start to cry.

Emilio's POV

I hear Cassidy's beautiful voice. She needs me. I hear something else. She's...she's crying. I can't stand it when my baby's crying. I try to move again. This time, even harder. I'm not giving up on her.

Your POV

I can't help but cry and cry. I can't stand this anymore. I need him. The twins need him. We all need him! I can't help but think to myself, what am I gonna do if he never wakes up? What are the twins going to do without their dad? I cry even more. I feel Emi's hospital gown under me soaked in tears. I lift my head up and wipe my tears away. I look at Emi's face. He looks so quiet and peaceful. I let out a little smile. More tears run down my face. I rub my thumb on his hand. Then the unexpected happens. I feel my hand getting squeezed. It's Emi.
