Confession#3: Andora was about the only person besides my father, that I could take shit from. Even if she gave my number out like I was some gigolo on the street.

"Why did you give my number out?" I pressed my shoulder against the lockers as Andora put her lunch bag in hers.

You can imagine I wasn't happy waking up to a "hey it's Zoey. Andora gave me your number."

"Hello to you too," She mumbled.

Our little head butts didn't last very long. Either one of forgot about it or the other one didn't care enough to bring it up. We apologized and pretended it didn't exist. It was never the brink of our relationship.

"To your sister? Of all the fucking people," I ignored her sarcastic remark.

"She's not my sister," She closed her locker and glared up at me with her circular rimmed glasses. Sometimes I forgot she couldn't see more than eight feet away without them. "And if she was babbling in you're ear you would of done the same. She would not stop talking about you. Which is why I think she also has a little resentment toward me. Probably thinks I'm competition. And when I gave her your number....boom. No more competition."

"You could have hooked me up with someone who is actually available," I pinched the bridge of my nose. Zoey wasn't hard on the eyes at all, long blonde waves...dark blue eyes--the whole package. The thing was she happened to be my friend's adoptive sister and also relative nemesis, and that wasn't an easy bridge to cross. Which is why I wonder why I crossed the bridge anyways. I could have stayed on the other side with her, then I wouldn't have to run back and forth, avoiding all the hazards that came along with it. It could have been just her. But, of course, my brain doesn't think like that.

"She is available."

"No she's not. She's your--"

"Say the s word and you're going to wish you were born a girl," I almost laughed. I could never take her threats seriously especially when she homemade these weird ambiguous threats that I had to analyze in my head before understanding what she meant. "She needs someone to break the stick that's up her ass. If you can do it to half the girls here why can't you do it to her?"

"Don't act like I've slept with two hundred girls at my school when you know my count is the size of a reasonable numbered homeroom class," I smirked. "Most repeat offenders."

"You know what I mean Kai. Just charm her like you always do. Give her a little something," Andora begged. "I can't live like this."

"Like what?"

"Like she's always breathing down my neck. I can't do anything without her growing suspicious. It's exhausting."

I watched her stare down at the tiled floor and fidget her foot up and down like she always did when she was nervous. I put my hand behind my neck and slowly breathed in. "Alright fine."

"You'll talk to her?"

"Uh-huh."

"You're the best Kai."

"I know."
