Confession #4: I was actually interested in her.
She reminded me of Andora in the way except less dark. She was sarcastic a little witty and a tad on the nerdy side. I don't know when it happened but I started to hang out Zoey more than Andi. And Andi started to notice.
"We don't talk as much," She squinted back at me as if she was trying to scan my brain. "I mean we haven't texted each other in weeks."
"I know, I've just been busy."
"With you're girlfriend?" She smiled. "I gotta tell you. Plot twist of the year, dude."
"It just happened," I checked my phone seeing a few text messages from Zoey.
"Well if you're happy I'm happy," She laid her head into my lap. "While you have been doting over Zoey I've been looking for my father."
"What? Seriously?"
"Yeah," She yawned. "Started with looking up names on Facebook. Now I'm on ancestry looking up birth records because my adoptive parents aren't letting me look at mine."
"Did you find it?"
"Not yet," She held the blunt to her mouth and exhaled let me get a whiff of it too.
"Shit Dora why didn't you tell me."
"Like you said, you've been busy."
"Andi you know it's not like that," I grabbed the blunt out of her hand and laid it on the table.
"Stop getting so defensive. I'm just telling it like how it really is," She sat up right side off the couch.
"You know you can come over any time," I mumbled.
"Not with Zoey around. She might think I'm pulling a fast one."
"I'll explain it to her."
"You don't have to explain shit," She sat back up and checked her phone. "Look I got to go anyways."
"Dora-"
"I'll text you Kai," She grabbed her backpack off the table leaving me alone to my self once again.
