Confession #6: I never really had a passion for anything, but murder? A part of me convinced myself I was Sherlock Holmes.
"Three missing people in a relative area. Age range between sixteen to nineteen years old. All three families waited three weeks to report the missing family member."
"So we can assume they weren't as cared for?" Aaron had always tried to sugar coat things which could often be horrible especially when you needed to be as honest as possible to solve something like this or at least infer.
"Yeah, easy target, probably a dysfunctional family. Kids who had troubled childhoods, careless parents. Three weeks isn't even a courtesy, it's just a realization something has happened."
"Why are we even looking at this?" Aaron threw the papers on the table. "They don't even match the age range were looking for. They're outliers."
"We don't know that," I pick the papers up. "People change, their interests change--"
"I have to go," Aaron announced as he stood up. "I have a meeting."
"Right now?" I arched and eyebrow. "What is it?"
"Just for a club I arranged here, I'm sorry I forgot to mention it," He checked his phone before politely smiling at me. "Send me anything else you find alright."
"Yup," I sighed. "See you Aaron."
He gathered up his things and quickly left the library leaving me to scheme by myself. For the most part Aaron had been with me the past few weeks helping me out with all my stupid investigations. Which why I was confused when he randomly had some important event he had to go to.
"Andora," A girl with blonde hair and icy blue eyes came to my table hovering over me. "My pre calc teacher is so annoying he literally kicked me out for asking for a pencil during a quiz."
I waited a few seconds attempting to search my brain for her name, but nothing was coming up. All I remembered was that she was one of Kai's many muses.
"He sounds like a douchebag," I played along pushing my papers into my folder to avoid any questions regarding them.
"I figured I might come to the library until my banishment is over," She sat down next to me pressing her hands on her cheek as if she was bored. "What are you doing?"
"Schoolwork," I lied. "You know history is annoying, demanding and all."
"I know," She laughed. "School is so unnecessary."
I was waiting for her to leave but she just sat in stared at me as if she was waiting for a another interaction. The truth was that she was here because she liked Kai, and because she liked Kai she had to force herself to like me.
"Totally," I smiled gathering my papers into my folders. "Well have to get back to english I kind of was skipping a little bit."
"Wait before you go I thought you should know something," Blue eyes pleaded with me.
"Uh ok?"
"I feel horrible for this," She ran her hands through her hair. "But ever since Kai has been dating Zoey. I've still been with--"
"Kai?"
"How long?"
"Well it never really stopped."
"Wow," I scoffed. "So you've been screwing and him while he had a girlfriend. And he's been doing the same."
"I know she's your--"
"Thank you for telling me this."
"I'm just so sorry and Zoey just looks so in love so I--"
"Thank you," I fakely smiled and gather my papers leaving quick as possible.
That asshat.
