Confession#6: I hate confrontations, I love fights.
"So is like Andora your best friend?" Zoey randomly asked as she licked her ice-cream quickly gazing from the sweet back to me in a nervous manner.
"Is this a trick question?" I quizzed back.
"No," She laughed and twirled around. "I was just wondering."
"I guess," I shrugged. "I mean you're my best friend too."
That was the most bullshitiest lie I've ever told.
"Really?" As soon as her eyes perked up I knew I really shouldn't have said that. If I was being honest Dora and me weren't even friends. Friends needed to have a basis of information about each other. She still knew more about me than anyone else could. It was almost hysterical how the people who claimed to be friends of mine could probably not even correct spell my full name. Including Zoey.
There wasn't really a reason that I was dating Zoey. She thought I was this tough shit that could protect her whenever she got into trouble. I think she had this bad boy ideal and tried to put me inside the box wanting to be the one that would "soften" me. And I let her to generous to cut her off so quickly. I figured it was because how Andi talked about she was when we weren't dating. She seemed so relieved it's almost like I couldn't let her go and ruin Andi's peaceful run at home.
"You know she's been talking to Aaron a lot," Her voice trailed off as if she was trying to lead me into something. "They're kind of cute together."
"Doubt that will happen."
"Why?"
"I'm pretty sure Andi isn't sexually attracted to anyone."
"No, she liked that guy from Catch me if you can."
"Leonardo Di Crapio?"
"He's hot I can get why."
"He's stupid. Who else does she like?"
"Evan Peters, she hasn't said it before but I know she likes him. I saw a picture of him on her phone."
"Of course," I laughed.
"Who do you think I like?" She stopped licking her icecream and looked at me nervously.
"Me," I walked a few steps toward and grabbed her waist pulling her into my chest. She smiled pretending to try to escape my grip.
"No seriously, what's my type?"
She thought she wanted me to be honest, but that's not really what she wanted. Because she wasn't Andora and the truth was a hard pill to swallow.
"You like guys who are perfect and disgusting at the same time and run all over you. And your reputation is important to you, so he has to look good in front of your parents and make your friends jealous."
"That's not true," She scoffed backing away.
For the rest of the time we spent at the ice cream parlor we stood there in silence solidifying the dysfunction of our so called relationship.
