Confession #9: Alcohol is the devil. Especially if you drink it on a empty stomach.
It's nothing like aromas of bacon in the air and angry brown eyes staring down at you.
"Andora?" My voice came out in a hushed rasp as I struggled to keep the light from surrounding my pulsing head. From this point of view Andora looked like a angel (possible demon) above arms crossed with her hair held into a silk hot pink hat and a long white shirt that went down to her mid thighs--ok not a angel, but maybe a goofy mystical guardian.
"You're finally awake," She rolled her eyes and leaned down to pick up a pillow next to my head. "You don't know how much trouble I'm in because of you and Zoey."
"Huh," I lifted my back off the ground and scanned my surroundings in confusion noticing the grey walls painted with pictures of Andora and her siblings pictures. "Wait--"
"I had to convince Anna not to get between Zoey and you. You're welcome," She shrugged as if she was giving herself a pat on the back.
"What--"
"And on top of that," She held a finger up signifying she was not done. "I had to drive back home with two drunk people that I stupidly should of watched more and explain why you guys were on the verge of passing out and couldn't speak proper fucking english."
"Are you ok?"
"What?"
"The last thing I remember you looked nervous," I stuttered over my words trying to think over the pounding in my brain and squinting to find her eyes as she moved around the basement cleaning around me. "And the last time you looked like that you had--"
"I'm fine Kai," She looked towards the ground refusing to stare at me. "The real question is are you ok? What the fuck was that? Do you know how scared I was? For you? For Zoey? What would of happened if I wasn't there huh? To leave yourselves and such a vulnerable state?"
"So we're talking now," I scratched my head.
"Yes," She glared at me. "You scared me Kai. Truly scared me. Please don't do that again."
"I didn't think you cared."
"Trust me I wish I didn't," She sighed. "I called you're dad."
"You what?"
"I had to explain why you weren't coming home tonight."
"Andora he wouldn't haven't even noticed or even fucking cared! You should know that already."
"I really don't," She put her arms up again defensively sitting down on the couch next to me. "Because he sounded concerned out of his mind."
"Why didn't he come and pick me up huh?"
"Because he's apparently in Seattle on a business trip. But now he's on his way back."
"Unbelievable," I shook my head.
"I had no choice Kai."
"You know exactly what the dynamic is between me and my father whether I have straight out told you or not."
"You looked awful I refused to drop you off at your house to be alone or possibly be with your abusive Dad."
"Then why did you call him."
"Because Anna and Paul wanted to make sure your dad knew you were here and what happened. And since you are so content on not letting anyone know I didn't say anything. But trust me I wasn't trying to hurt you."
I ran my hands through my hair tightly tugging at my hair shaking my head as if it would help clean my thoughts out.
"Where's Zoey?"
