Rosaline

It feels like a staring contest.

Between him and I.

After I took a shower and got dressed up in my casual outfit, it was quite a surprise that I could still find Cold One in my room.

I left him off guard on purpose, I thought he would escaped then.

But here we are now, staring.

He's standing near the curtains where the sun doesn't come through. Funny. he seems to be wanted away from it as much as possible, though I know he wouldn't get burn by the sunray.

It was one of the reasons vampires attack our world. They've found a way to get imuned from the sunlight.

I lost one of my good friend when he thought vampires would still burn under the sunlight. Lesson learned from then. What an awful thing.

Sighing, I raise an eyebrow. It amused me how he could still hold my gaze this longn with that much of hatred but yet he is still locked in place.

"Is there anything you wish to say?" I ask.

He looks like he is two seconds away from spitting his hatred out but decided to shut his mouth anyway. Briefly letting out a little shaky "no."

"No?" I echo. And he stays silent again. "Would you stop staring, then?"

He looks away abruptly. He is scared rather than anything else though I know he's trying his best not to show it.

"You should get clean up too," I tell him. "I'll get you some clean clothes."

With that I leave the room. I don't have to lock it since the only threat Cold One has is my family, and I dare to bet that no one would have the courage to get inside my room.

I'm going go to my mother's bedroom to find my father's old clothes, they're somewhere on the back of the drawer. Maybe Cold One would fit in those.

Just as I walk down the stairs, I hear light footsteps rushing towards me. I paused my steps, waiting. Then I see my youngest sister peeking from dining room, giggling, then running off just like that.

A smile forms its way on my lips, Livi has always been the one to light my world up. Even just by existing in it.

Following the trace she went off, I can see her running towards my mom's bedroom.

I knock on the open door, pretending, "is there anyone in here?" I ask as I open the door. There's this giggle from the drawer, making my smile gets wider. "Hmm.. is my little sis hiding somewhere?"

Approaching the drawer slowly, I can hear Livi shifting more and more inside the drawer.

"There you are, little one!" I say cheerfuly as I open the drawer and find my little sister there, smiling brightly. She jumps towards me and hugs my legs tightly, laughing.

"You found me!" She cheers. "I miss you so much, Rosie!"

"I miss you too, Livi," I get her up inside my arms and hugs her tightly.

"Where have you been?" She asks when I put her down again.

"Somewhere far, far away," I answer, a bright smile never leaves my lips.

Livi pouts suddenly, her tiny arms crossed in front of her chest. "You always go somewhere far, far away," she says. "Ashton never go far, far away. I wish he is the one that always leaves."

"Livi, don't say that," I tell her. "Don't wish for anyone from the family to leave, okay?"

"Why?" She asks. "I never wish for you to leave but you leave anyway. Ashton is annoying, he should be the one who leaves."
