Chapter 18 : engaged?!?

10:00 am
I wake up sitting up and I notice that Colby isn't here. I frown and stand up stretching myself out and I look over at the table and notice a note so I pick it up and read it to myself.

My love put this on for today, Becky and the girls are waiting at the cafe down the street for breakfast, have fun I love you a ton - Colby

I smile and open the box and it's a long black dress. I hold it up and smile then notice that there's another small box and another note. I shake my head smiling and I read it again.

Katrina there are many gifts to come today before we meet for dinner so wear this tonight - Colby

I open the box and there's a necklace with a diamond kitten on it. I smile and laugh to myself " wow Colby you've out done yourself" I whisper to myself. I put the necklace on and go into the bathroom, I do my makeup and curl long hair. Walking back into the room I notice that there's a bouquet of pink roses and yet another note. " dang it Colby" I laugh shaking my head and I sniff the roses. I smile and rest my hand on my head. I read the note out loud and smile " to Katrina I hope you love these roses, I had to ask Jon what your favourite flowers are" I laugh and smile. I slip on the dress and zip it up on my own. Putting my black heels on and my leather jacket I grab my hotel key and purse. Instead of taking an uber or a taxi I decide to walk to the cafe.

I get to the cafe and all of the girls are there drinking mimosas. Nikki looks up and smiles " she's here!" She stands up and I pull her in for a hug. " what is going on?" I ask her. " you'll see Kat" she whispers. It sit down next to her and Brie hands me her glass that is full. I look at her weirdly and she shrugs " I'm not drinking" she mouths to me. I nod and wink at her taking a sip of my mimosa. We sit talking for a bit " so what are we doing after this?" I ask them. " oh we're going shopping, you need a dress for tonight" Nikki smiles. I shake my head " what's so important that's going on that I have to wear a dress?" I ask her. " I said that you'll see Katrina" she smiles. I groan and finish my toast.

We get to the first dress shop and find the dress after looking for a few hours.I go to pay for it but the lady stops me " it's already been payed for" she tells me. " what? By who?" I ask her confused. She smiles " by Colby Lopez" she tells me. I smile and shake my head " of course he bought it already dang it Colby" I laugh. She looks at me weirdly " who is he to you?" She asks. " oh he's my boyfriend, he's sending me all over the city" I tell her. She smiles and nods " awe that's so sweet you should get going" she says handing me a piece of paper.

Katrina since you've gotten the dress go get your nails done, it's on me ps. I love you - Colby

I shake my head and smile " to the nail salon!" I shout to the girls. They all get excited so we walk a short bit to the Neal salon. " welcome to vo's nails" the small Asian lady at the front desk greets us. I smiles " thank you we'd all like manicures please" I smile. She nods looking behind us " alright follow me" she starts walking to this huge wall filled with nail colours. " pick the colour then come to the stations you each get a lady" she tells us. We all nod and pick our colours and I go and sit getting comfy. The lady from the front sits down across from me " do you want gel?" She asks. "Mm yeah sure" I shrug and she nods then starts getting to work.

After an hour or so our nails are done and dry. The lady hands me a note with a smile " have fun" she whispers.

Now since you're almost done go have lunch - Colby

"Well I guess it's lunch time" I smile and put the note in my purse with the other ones. " to lunch! I'm starving" Becky smiles. I laugh and hook my arm with hers and carry the dress in my other arm. " I am too Becky" I smile and we walk to the closest lunch place. Nikki and Brie sitting on either side of me with Renee on the other side of Brie with Becky, Charlotte, Bayley and Nattie across the table from us. " I'm so glad I get to spend my morning and early afternoon with you seven girls" I smile. Nikki smiles and side hugs me. "It's your birthday of course we'd spend it with you" Becky tells me. I smile "thank you guys this is the best birthday so far I've got the best friends and the best boyfriend" I smile. The girls smile and nod. Brie stands up holding a glass of water "I don't want to take the focus away from Katrina but I have something special to tell you guys" Brie smiles resting her hand on her tummy.
