Hunter Hayes- Wanted/PARTYNEXTDOOR - Wuss Good/Curious
Cassie took in her white, black, silver and gold decor with warm browns coming from the Georgian oak floorboard- which were glossed to perfection by the cleaners. Her parents had made sure that their house had nothing but the finest things in it. They had the typical wrought iron gates, game room, outdoor terrace, indoor gym, outdoor patio with luxury green grass surrounding it and row and rows of cars parked in the drive way, that everyone in the North side had. Cassie's parents had also paired her lavish lifestyle with personal stylists and designers, chefs by the click of a button, maids that worked part time on the weekends and an interior designer that changed their home decor every three months. As a result, as soon as Cassie began to feel at home in the house, everything changed all over again. That was the thing- "home" never was "home" - she felt as though she had been living in multiple hotels that all looked over the same scenery outside.
Playing with her newly done nails, Cassie chose not to look her dear father Mr Long, who sat to her right, in the eyes. She scanned the room feverishly, hotly bothered by the so called urgent calls by her dad. Having to cut her outing with Chris short , for this really stupid reason made Cassie want to lash out. She thought something about her mother's whereabouts had come to light, she thought her mum had finally come home after the scene between her and her dad. Cassie had come home after ballet practice to find them spewing nasty, derogatory and abusive language at each other, she'd gone upstairs and went to trouble Adrian about what happened, but he hadn't had an answer. He always chose to not get involved in the parents arguments.
From her room she could hear glass hitting the concrete walls, then dispersing into tiny shards on the ground. She decided that this was another one out millions of the arguments that her parents had, and she chose to ignore the yelling and settle for a shower. Although Cassie had spent an hour in the shower, she hadn't missed her mother calling for a taxi and the sound of her mothers suitcase wheels, scrapping the ground as she dragged it down the sidewalk towards the taxi that had arrived. That was when she knew, this time was different- her fathers language was much worse and unacceptable than usual- he ended the argument with telling her mother to pack her bags and leave. Since then- her mother hadn't been home for 2 months and counting. The next morning, Cassie and Adrian had asked their father of the whereabout of their mother and he replied with a simple, "She will not be spoken about in this house from today onwards. Now eat your breakfast," despite them demanding more of an answer. Anytime they did bring their mother up Mr Long calmly ignored.
Cassie sat uncomfortably at the edge of her white sofa- the black and white leather begged to be used so she placed one across her lap. Cassie looked directly at the stranger who looked slightly familiar sitting straight opposite her- she waited for her dad to introduce her; she wanted to know what was so amazing about this one person that she had to be torn away from Chris.
"Cassie I guess you are wondering why I called upon you?" Mr Longs proud, aloof voice echoed through the space. He hadn't waited for Cassie to reply. "Well, meet Leighton Ryder." The young gentleman grinned and reached his hands towards Cassie, she extended her hand flimsily as he placed a kiss on the back of her brown chocolate hands, as his white chocolate hands which had a slight tan, locked with hers. His forget-me-not blue eyes gave Cassie a warm inviting smile- Tyra Banks would have said he had a "natural smize".
Leighton had believed this situation to be a bit confusing- he had been introduced to Mr Long through his father- who was international award winning director Jason Ryder- at a premier overseas and Mr Long and Leighton had clicked. Cassie's father was impressed by how successful the nineteen years old guy was. He was a model, who had model for Calvin Klein all the way to vogue; actor and he owned many restaurants around the world. Even though the nature of his restaurants didn't sit well with certain feminists, no one could deny he was successfully wealthy at such a young age. Big Juicy wasn't known for it's respect for the female population, it was known for the applause of the female body. Females were only hired if they had big breasts, nice apple bottom, what was considered a body or something that just appealed to every mans desire. They had to have something about them that suited someones taste. His science of thought concluded that it was sexy females brought in thirsty men. These men were willing to spend so much on these females and not get anything in return- it was probably because it made them feel so manly. Leighton was rolling in money. So Mr Long had pitched his teenage daughter to Leighton and insisted for him to meet Cassie. So that was what Leighton had intended to do.
