                    J.Cole - Work Out/ Chris Brown - Yo ( Excuse Me Miss)

Cassie's POV.

Checking my self out in the rear-view mirror of my new Range Rover, I took in my golden flecked, hazel eyes, perfectly arched eyebrows, smooth chocolate skin and perfectly shaped lips. Spring Break was finally over and I was nervous about going to public school. Yes- I went private school- due to the fact that my parents had money, I had been going ever since I was a child. However, my parents chose now to start thinking logically- they came to an agreement that private school was a waste of money. So here I am not knowing what to expect on my first day. My brother Adrian, bestfriend Libby and my boyfriend already went to 'Rio Bay High School', but I heard that the rich and the poor never mixed anyways: it was divided. North Siders vs South Siders.

Beep...Beep. I looked down at my phone screen and saw it was a text from my best friend Libby:

Where are u?, we're going 2 be l8 xxx

I reversed out of my driveway, cranked up my music and began my journey.

*********

"Remember we're going to Derrick's party on Friday, so clear your schedule!" Libby reminded me, as excitement rose to her cheeks.

"Oh yeah I forgot," I replied. Derrick was my current boyfriend and captain of the football team. I wasn't as enthusiastic as Libby; because things had not been going well in our relationship for a while now, he had become more distant and demanding ever since his arrogance caught up with him. He noticed his new found legacy and stopped paying attention to me. I took a turn into the school car park.

"I can't wait, I don't even know what I'm going to wear. What about you Cassie?"

I zoned out for a minute, "Errr?" I was just about to reply when my car jerked forward. A car came out no where, approaching me from the opposite direction. Ferociously, I started stamping on the brake violently. I began reciting a silent prayer (God, I'm too young to die).

At last the car stopped and my body lunged forwarded. The opposing car swerved around me and I noticed the person driving was a guy from The SouthSide. He winked at me and started cracking up laughing with his friend.

Heat began to creep along my neck towards my face, I was so embarrassed. Everyone knows my people and his people don't mix under any circumstances. I looked to the passengers seat, to see my best friend in a heart attack frenzy.

                                                                                  *********

" Ugghh!" I exclaimed trying to force my locker open. The first bell had already rang.

Suddenly, a hand covered my eyes, "Guess Who?" A voice teased jokily.

"Derrick, I'm not in the mood, so let go."

"Sorry..." He said with confusion plastered on his face, "Why? What happened?"

"Nothing. I'm just having a bad start to the day. Sorry." I smiled apologetically.

"It's alright baby, anyways I was thinking, do you want to come over tonight?"

"Um...um," I began, roaming my mind for an excuse, "I've got a lot of homework and chores to do, maybe another day though." I said forcing a fake smile.

"Ok." He replied with a hurt expression on his face.

"Anyways I've got to get to English right now or I'm going to be late." I gave him a kiss on the cheek then turned to make my way to class, " See ya."

I heard a muffled "Bye."

You can't just ignore a person for three days and expect them not to be angry. But it is as though he didn't even realise his mistakes. He only noticed me when he wanted to. KMT. Boys.

                                                           ********************

Chris' POV.

I jammed my locker shut. The second bell had already rang, which meant I was going to be late for English. Oh well.

"So am I coming round yours tonight or not?" I inquired impatiently to Kelly, a girl that I had been feeling for quite a while now. "Because your boy has got things to do."

"Well, I don't know Chris..." She replied prolonging her answer.

"Look girl, stop playing games with me, I'm either going or not." I said, my voice rising a bit. I've been with so many and I will still never understand why girls try to act as though, they are so innocent. She knows she wants me more than I want her.

"Ok, ok come round at six, yeah." She said quickly, as she could tell I was going to stop chasing her soon.

********************

"Mr Brown, you are late because...?"

I sniggered, "Do you really want me to answer that Miss?"

There was no reply:

"So, I drove through the car park this morning and almost got into a car crash..." I said winking at the girl that took part in it, I laughed as her face turned red. The look on her face screamed newbie. "Then I felt so much tension and anger rise up in me, that I needed to relieve stress. Miss. So I went to the bathroom and..."

My sentence was cut short by Miss Hill, "That's enough, now take a seat," she said with a disgusted look on her face. I looked over and my boys were chuckling and everyone else were in fits of laughter apart from the new girl. What was her problem any way? I took a seat and got a pen out.

"There is a new student in our class today," said Ms Hill jesturing towards the girl with an inviting smile on her face, "Will you like to introduce yourself?"

"Hello, my name is Cassie," she said showing off her perfect straight and white teeth. She grinned as she waved from her seat.

"Well, today I thought I would pick your partners for your English assignment. Seeing as when you pair yourselves up, your work is either stolen or not given in at all." We had this rule in class that we could pick our own partners just as long as it was with the opposite sex.

"So, Jenna and Paul, Kate and Abdi, Michelle and Tyson, Cassie and Chris, Sophie and..."

"Wait you can't pair me up with him," the girls face flared up. Haha, this girl hated me already. Other newbies will be quiet and lay low on the first day, but Cassie seemed to show her forthright nature already. It's alright, she will still warm up to me.

"Why?" Miss H demanded, pushing her glasses to the end of her nose, so that her beady eyes could interrogate Cassie.

"B-Be-Because..." she stuttered, shrinking to the size of a mouse. Miss H could be quite intimidating when she wanted to.

"Well I suppose you don't have a valid reason Miss Long, so you and Mr Brown are partners and that's final." She said closing the discussion.

"Don't sweat it Miss H, it's just because she doesn't want anyone to know that she's madly in love with me." I said, giving Cassie the cocky grin, that girls knew and loved. She began to blush from embarrassment, which caused me to burst out laughing.

"Actually, I've got a boyfriend, so..." she replied so seriously.

"Whatever, I was just kidding."

Doesn't she understand the meaning of a joke. These days girls have no sense of humour, I thought to myself. It wasn't even a big deal. KMT. Girls.
