Kuroo was seated right between Asahi Azumane and Bokuto, with [Name] right in front of him. Introductions had been done quickly enough; almost everyone knew the others well enough. After the waiter had taken the group's orders, a lively conversation started up.

To his left, Bokuto seemed to be in a light-hearted debate with Oikawa. On his right, Asahi was speaking with Gina from across the table. In all honesty, Kuroo expected that Bokuto could start a conversation with him instead of leaving him alone with no one to talk to. Seriously. There were precisely eleven people seated with the group, and how were all of them occupied with their own conversations?

The messy-haired male let out a loud sigh of annoyance, his fingers tapping against the tabletop as he waited for one of his acquaintances to be free of a conversation. When will a conversation even drop? He pondered to himself. Normally, he would be able to drop into a conversation as easily and naturally as breathing. But it seemed that everyone was so engrossed into their own discussions that he couldn't find a good opening.

"You don't have anyone to talk to?" A voice broke Kuroo out of his bored thoughts.

Jumping at the chance, Kuroo nodded, turning his head in the direction of the speaker. "Yeah, unfortunately," he replied with a smirk. "Weird, really. I would've thought that one of them would have actually talked to me by now," he chuckled.

His eyes landed on the speaker finally, and he had to blink several times to make sure that he was actually awake. How could he have missed you? What a fine specimen you are! And to think that Kuroo hadn't spotted you earlier, seated diagonally across from him. Of course, he had met you earlier, but he didn't think he actually paid attention to you, due to the excitement of seeing his friends again. Now if only he could remember their name....

You nodded and laughed, letting a bright, cheery voice flow out from their lips. "I thought so. But why not talk to me at first?" You exclaimed. "Did you think I was too boring or were you just too busy trying to talk to someone else?" You teased.

Kuroo scoffed. "It's not that--"

"Oh, then is it because you were so lost because you didn't get the attention that you wanted?" You jeered again with a giggle. The light in their [Shade of Color] eyes skipped and fluttered around; it surprised the former Nekoma captain.

The tall, bedheaded boy smirked and leaned forward with his arms folded so he could speak with the person clearer. "Ohoho? Feisty, are we firecracker?" He played.

"I have a name, Kuroo," you answered teasingly.

Kuroo tsked. "And no honorifics at first. Tsk, tsk, tsk."

"I have no use for them." The person whom he was speaking to narrowed their eyes at him, though not in a negative manner. "Kuroo, have you forgotten my name already? It seems as if you've already lost it!" You chimed.

The former cat captain scoffed. "What? Me? Nah," he lied, he shrugged it off as it if were no big deal. "Who said I was avoiding it?"

You let out a hearty laugh. "Really now? Then what's my name?"

"AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID" was all Kuroo could think of in his mind. He let out an awkward laugh, trying to force it out as something that was natural. Luckily for him, he was able to stall just the tiniest moment as the waiters came out with plates of food for the group.

As one of the waiters set down his grilled salted mackerel pike in front of him, Kuroo had other ideas rather than to eye his favorite food hungrily. He peered over at the other side of the table to view you.

Your eyes hungrily examined the food before you, which from the smell and presentation of the dish, Kuroo guessed was [Favorite Food]. The scent that wafted from your direction made Kuroo even hungrier, and he slowly looked down at his own food, a bit ashamed. Sure, his food seemed to look really good, but he wanted to try yours too.
