Chapter-6 : Haly's Circus

I woke up listening my alarm clock ringing . I stopped it. I stretched my arms and saw Alfred coming in my room to open the curtains. " Good morning Al." He answered me " Good morning Miss. Would you like a cup of tea?." I nodded my head " Sugar and milk Miss ?." "Three cubes of sugar and milk please " yeah I have Indian origin dudes. I love tea over coffee. It helps a lot to fight sleep than coffee does. I went to bathroom to brush and get change into my training outfit. Alfred handed me my tea " Your tea Miss " I took a sip of my tea . Oh it was heaven in the early morning " Just what I needed . Thank you Al. " I drank the tea and handed that cup to Alfred . I ran down to the cave before Bruce and stood there waiting for him to come down.

I really loved to see Bruce coming late. Eventually he came down to see me standing there before him . I looked at my imaginary watch on my hand "You are late " He grumbled " You came early. " Ah...he got me "Yes....yes I did. Good Morning Bruce. " " Good morning little star." We started our training. First he made me do stretching then focused on my gymnastic skills. He kept making me do balancing my body weight on the loop thing again and again till I perfected it. And I did.

Time skip to breakfast ~

I was exhausted but still showed my cheery side to everyone. I just need one day to enjoy. One day to be me. But every day Bruce keeps me in tight training or my studies or missions. I sat at the dining table on a chair beside Bruce's chair. Bruce was reading newspaper. I looked at it while eating my pancakes. I noticed a picture of circus and a headline 'Haly's Circus In The City '.I telepathically told Alfred that I have never seen a Circus before and I wanted to see it .Alfred noticed my expression change upon looking the headline " Master won't it be nice to show Miss Sanny this circus. She has never been to one. It would be a nice outing for you two too." He shook his head " No Alfred. I don't think it's a good idea. Beside we don't need any day out." I dropped my forks on the table and jumped out of my seat. I ran away and sat on the garden bench.

I just remembered that I am a kid. After being hero , fighting villains , helping civilians and making almost half of the League of Assassins my enemy. I forgot who I was. I need my time. I want be normal. I want to make someone make me feel normal. Nowadays tears also don't slips from my eyes they have betrayed me a long time ago. I just stare into whole emptiness to remember what I am meant to be. I sighed and only wished if....only if someone was there to be by my side. Someone who would stay by me no matter what happens. Someone who will make me realize who I am meant to be. I felt my amulet glowing but it dimmed down soon after.'Wierd' . Then I felt a hand placed on my shoulder.....

Bruce's POV :
 
I was very taken aback by her behaviour. " Did i said something wrong Alfred?." Alfred shook his head " I am afraid yes..Sir....you sometimes really forget that she is a child.....no matter how mature she acts she has a child's mentality Sir. She just wanted to see the Circus only to have some fun time with you and be act normal . But you just rained on her parade. She needs a break or at least deserves it . Think it out sir who she needs now a mentor or a father figure who she dearly misses . It's on you Sir." Alfred walked out of the room leaving me to solve this riddle. Hmm....I never thought of it like that. I have been very harsh on her though. Training her till she feels her legs collapse and body ache in pain and get the thing right.

I am horrible to her but still she clings on me with the hope and faith that makes me kind and soft to her. She's the daughter I never had. No one can take her place. I love her more than anyone. I don't care if she's my blood or not she carries on my legacy with pride and loyalty.  She's my soft spot. Dev is lucky to have her as his daughter. I need to go find her. Alfred was right she  needs her father figure more than her mentor now. What can go wrong if I take a day break for her?

I got up from my seat with her plate full of pancakes and went to find her. After searching the whole house I found her in our garden bench sitting all alone looking at the artificial pool. Then it hit me she's missing her family. Bruce Wayne you can do this.
