Chapter-21 : Pretending

When I was almost asleep from yesterday's date with demon family. Not to mention they almost.....almost kidnapped me.

By all the tossing and turning I understood that I still haven't taken the matter of me having a brother seriously. I cannot even say that they are wrong cause my powers told me they were right.

There was a cliché though. Talia made me his sister not even knowing my identity. Whereas in the reality Talia is my Aunt's cousin making Talia my aunt too. What I am going to say is Damian is indirectly my blood brother. We both share same blood .

I pushed this thoughts aside and tried to sleep. Dick got up earlier than me and stepped on my bed. Here goes my luck. I cannot even have a peaceful hours of sleep . I sighed and ignored the presence of someone near me.😧

Dick then straddled me and started tickling me. I tried to hold my laugh but I gave up. I soon laughed with him "S-stop..... I cannot take more" He smirked and stopped. He brought his face closer to me and whined " Where were you? I was lonely " I placed a kiss on his nose. He blushed deep red " You're so cute when you whine " I whined imitating his behaviour . He scrunched his nose " Don't act like a baby " He said. I raised my brows " Says the baby" . He smirked " Point" .

I shoved him to my side and whined " Let me sleep Dick ...." He simply said " Nopppppee" with pressing on ' p '. I rolled my eyes and covered my head with comforter.

Bruce's POV :

I sipped on my coffee and looked at my watch. I sent Dick to call her but he's late too. I kept stealing glances at the door waiting for my two gems come in.

Alfred was cleaning a silver rimmed wine glass on the table when I asked " Do you think that they are getting attached to themselves? "

He kept cleaning " Perhaps yes Sir , Master Dick is growing into a fine young man a and Miss Sanny is growing in a fine young lady. They both are made for each other Sir. I can see the love in their eyes but they don't know what it is?"

I nodded " I was right then. She is developing feelings for him and he too. Guess I will get my daughter indirectly through my son huh "

Alfred laughed " I appreciate your concern Sir. But they have to realize it first."

I looked at my glass " But what if she gets hurt in this way....."

Alfred said " I believe you have trained her well to keep up with these feelings "

I chuckled. Truthfully I never knew how mentally strong little star is. I rubbed my chin " Wait wait.....Alfred since when I am thinking like this ? I won't let a single boy come near her any personally "

Alfred placed the dishes on table and let out a laugh . I banged the table by placing my right fist "What so funny? She's still the little girl in my eye and she isn't allowed to date boys until I say so"

He stood in front of me " Master Bruce ! Are you jealous?....you should be....children grows faster than we think they would. But if somebody is more perfect for Miss Sanny is Master Dick. Don't you think they both have gone through something terrible but they stood up holding each other's hand. What will you say to this? "

I sighed in defeat. Alfred was right.....he's the one who groomed me from my childhood and he's experienced. He knows what he's saying and I think I should leave the matter to my two child. I'll be happy with whatever they choose.

A small smile crept on my lips when Dick came in with little star in his arms. He brought her down in a bridal style while she was still sleeping not a care in the world. " Good morning Bruce. And good morning from Sanny too. She was still sleep so thought not to disturb her anymore. So I brought her down like this."
