Chapter-19 : Everything Is Not What It Seems

In this world the only thing that can destroy a whole peaceful dream is an alarm.

I opened my eyes a little and closed the alarm on my side. When I was trying to move I couldn't because of a certain person had iron grip on my waist. I turned to another side in his grip. My mistake. Now I am face to face to the boy I think I love. In his he's calm , peaceful, innocent, happy and handsome. His raven hair fell on his forehead covering his eyes a little. But eerily he has a smile plastered on his lips.

I tried to move him but he came more closer to me. Knowing his hard work I was trying to let him sleep more . I slowly moved away and just then he moved causing me to stiff in my place. He pulled me more closer. His face was now resting on my neck .

His breath send tangles in my whole body. I wanted this moment even though good moments never last forever. I rest my face on his head and closed my eyes. I knew I was late for training. Dick pulled me more close and looked up at my face with a bright morning smile.

I couldn't help but smile back. He said " Good morning little star"
I said " Good morning boy wonder" . He used his hand to brush a strand of my raven hair falling on my face. " You look beautiful in the morning " he said out of the blue. " You don't look half bad yourself Dick" .

He smirked at me. And this is his mischievous smirk I would melt any day for. " Any plans for today?" He asked. I frowned " Today we have patrol day with Batsy and then we can go to our team"

He then cupped my face with one hand " Will you really stay with me when I would be leading the team?" I placed my hand on his
" Through all thick and thin"

He held out his pinkie " Me and you" I twirled my pinkie with his
" You and me "

As I said the moment was ruined when Alfred got in . He opened the curtains and then stared at the position we are in. Dick and my face turned red as we jumped away from each other in order to fall down from the bed with a thud.

We both yelled " Owww" . I got up and stood beside Dick . Alfred looked at us for explanation "Umm...he was having a nightmare last night so he slept with me" Al looked at us with a smirk and holding a look telling us ' That's not the explanation I wanted '.

He said " Good morning Master Dick , Miss Sanny. The breakfast is ready and Master Bruce is waiting for you both to join him"
We both nodded and rushed to each of our bathrooms. We raced down and sat at our own position. After our breakfast Robin and I had to go for patrol and later went on a mission. After coming to the manor I went to my room clearly because I was not feeling well.

I looked down at my amulet and saw it was glowing bright. I sat down on my room's floor in a meditating position.

I closed my eyes and concentrated on the power I was feeling from my amulet . My unconscious mind led me to a different place. A place with huge green land , a lake and a cherry blossom tree beside it. The leaves blowing with the soft rustling wind. Then the blossoms collected in one place and appeared my mentor Kent Nelson aka Dr Fate.

He approached closer and said in his old voice " Spider.....is that you my child" I opened my mask and hugged him tightly. Later released him and asked " What happened to you? What is this place ? And why I am feeling like this?"

He placed a hand on my shoulder " My spider....I have had a long, long journey on mortal realm. Now I am old. So I decided to retire. Dr Fate needed my body but my soul is free. He'll be there but not me."

I asked " Then who will teach me more magic?"

He smiled " I will. And right now I did. Your lesson was to travel beyond your body and come to the immortal realm through astral plane. And see you have passed your test."
