Chapter 23 : Appreciation

My POV:

I was swinging above the cities. Unsure of where I'm but I kept swinging. I dont know what happened. Was I hurt to see Dick might be getting too close to someone else? Or was i more afraid of losing a friend?

I came onto a roof where I had to stop to breathe and just look around. "This place seems known..." that's when my eyes landed on a big bill board and the city name was on bright lights. Keystone City...

I was already too tired to move more and all I needed was to get unconcious in the middle of nowhere and die? NAH!

I slowly walk towards the roof edge and sit down there dangling my feet while looking down at all the colorful lights on the city road. I could see poeple walking by down the sidewalk and silence filled the air as a soft breeze blew noticing the sudden presence of someone behind her as she pulled up one knee closer against her chest letting the other one dangle when she looked at the corner of her eyes and muttered "how did you know.....?"

Wally's POV :

Seeing her rush out made me impatient as after that fight I left Robin behind and ran for her. I mean past her favorite fast food stop and grabbed some cheeseburgers along with sweets before staring my quest. Man if only I knew where she would be now...

*Where would I be if I was a little spider having relationship trouble! Dammit. Rob sucked on this. I really thought they would hit it off but that's just mean. Couldnt he have been a little more considerate-- AHA! My city! I have seen her sulking on buildings before in my place. Least crimes and space. Perfect place for Spiders to dwell. Hehehehehehe I forgot how much I love to tease that shorty!. Gotta make her smile! Gotta make her...happy...*

I came out of my thought the moment i saw her sitting on one of the roof and snapped my fingers before running up to there and stood behind her unable to say anything or how to start to talk before she looks at me from the corner if her eyes and asks "how did you know...?"

I scratched the back of my neck and walked towards her while sitting down beside her and looked up at the sky handing over the fast food snacks I bought for her. "Thought you might get hungry"

"You still havent answered me yet..." she kept saying before I looked at her and smiled brightly and shrugged saying "I just..I just knew where you would be. Call it a spider sonar?" I joked on her powers as a slap emerged from her on my hand but it was rather playful and snatched the packet digging in to see what's inside like a child. It just made me *hey.. cute* I thought before I shook my head realizing what I was thinking.

My POV:

I raised a brow at his answer before he made a joke causing me to slap his hand and saw his smile which made me sigh and smile as well. I immediately digged in to see what he brought and I smelled squealing "Cheeseburgers!!!"

He gave an ever bigger smile to see me this excited on a cheeseburger as I gave the second one to him knowing I never eat anything alone as he accepts it and we both start to unwrap it and take a bite each as we looked up at the sky when he takes out the pastries and smoothies as well putting it down with his classic smirk "for the lady~"

It made me frown playfully but played along as I bowed half way and take them splitting them in half one for each as I kept looking to side when he asked "Sooooo wanna talk about it?" "Mhmm..." that was my answer before my mood fell down back again as he brought his hand back on my shoulder and pulled me closer on a side hug as he said in a smooth voice "Just say it all...no one will know just us. Anytime you feel down and sad? You know where to come. I will always be here...always. Best friends promise" he tried to make it easy on me ans I was grateful enough for that. I couldnt help but spill out everything that's been bothering me. From how Robin started acting weird to how I felt when he held hands with her..everything. Wally stayed there in silence listening to everything and absorbed it while he kept patting my back whenever it was needed as in the end he just smiled at me. A warm smile that always made me smile.

His fingers wiped my tears which I didnt even knew was there. It was a first but I didnt regretted it. I finally felt appreciated. He never judged me and neither is he doing it now. I just appreciated how he makes it all okay.  All good. Of all his flirty antics..this is the Wally West nobody knew. He had a side of his he never shows. He has a heart and inside all that joke and flirting he knew how to understand someone when they needed it most. He knew how to examine someone. I grabbed the milkshake cup and take some of its foam and puts it on his nose while clicking a picture of it.

"AHA! THATS GOING IN MY PICTURE BOOK!" I giggle putting the phone inside so he cant reach as he looked at me like any angry kid and crossed his arms as he ended up tackling me down and tickled me while I tried to squirm out and get him back but he always took advantage of it due to his height as I wrapped my legs around his neck and tossed him under me pinning his hands down with one hand as I tickled his sides making him laugh as well while he couldnt move anymore as defeat was written right on his face.

I leaned down to him and smirked as I kept holding his hands up "haha so who's the sore loser now?~" I understand why I was smirking but him? His smile suddenly cocked into a smirk as he looked right in my eyes "mhm mhm babe...I understand that I'm handsome but right on top? That's kinky...~"

The moment that slipped from his lips my whole face turned red as I instantly got off from on top of him and covered my face with my palm sitting on the ground while he got up laughing hysterically and walked towards me trying to calm me down and get rid of the blush as I smacked on the back of his head and turned away crossing my arms "Stupid West!"

This made him laugh even more as I smacked his back one more time making him yelp from it and then hugged me out of nowhere making me give up and wrap my arms back around him holding him closer as I could see him grinning. "Best of friends remember...best of friends" This made me roll my eyes playfully and hummed to it "....Best of friends"

Wally's POV:

I could see her relax the moment I hugged her. She was finally happy after such a long time and I was happy I could make it. I saw her letting it go and slowly calm down as I picked her up and ran towards her manor as I placed her down and handed the milk shake to her as she smiled to me "Thank you Willo..."

"Uh huh! No Thank you and sorry in friendship. We will meet tomorrow at the Mt Justice again. Take rest till then. I'm pretty sure it will be ALRIGHT!" I smile brightly giving her a thumbs up as she giggles to it making me feel a sudden surge of happiness. It made me keep grinning to her as she gave me one last hug and ran over to the manor giggling to herself.

I felt myself watching her for too long before I speed away from there and sighed as one hing never left my mind...her smile...

My POV :

Wally brought me back to the manor as I ran inside instantly after he brought me here. I was too tired to speak to somebody and just grabbed my clothes changing into it and plopped kn mh bed as I opened my phone to see the picture I took of him and smiled at the memory before I swiped to the right to see an inage of me and Dick as it made me drop my smile and swipe back left to see Wally as I put my earphones inside my ear and felt sleep coming over me listening to music as the last moments came flashing in front of my eyes....his smile....
