She had run out the door, past her bewildered team and a flustered Mrs Fitz, out of the Playground and to the BUS. His old bunk was the only place she felt like she could be, and so she threw herself onto his bed, pulled his pillow over her head and cried.

Nobody had come after her, and she was okay with that, feeling at one with the silence in his room.

He had forgotten her, but she was determined not to lose him. She would do anything, anything, just to make sure that he was hers and she was his.

"Come here, you brave, brave girl."

Skye opened the door to his bunk and sat down beside her, wrapping her arms around her and letting her cry into her chest.

"You okay?" She asked softly, tucking a loose strand of hair behind Simmons' ear, a gesture that Fitz always used to do.

Simmons shook her head. "No."

"I didn't expect you to be. I know how much he meant to you." Skye pulled away but kept one arm around Simmons' shoulder, letting her friend lean into her side.

"Yes, and now? I don't know what I'm going to do, Skye." Tears started running down her cheeks again and she wiped them away with the back of her hand.

"I wish I could help."

"You're doing enough already. Thank you." She smiled at Skye, but it ended up looking more pained than grateful.

"Is there anything you need? Food, water?" Skye asked.

"I need Fitz back." Simmons mumbled, and Skye hugged her again. They sat there for a while, their arms tightly around each other, crying into each other's shoulders. "I'm sorry, I probably got mascara all over your shirt."

"I don't mind. You get some rest, okay? I'll get you some food."

"Thank you, Skye."

The sandwich Skye had made her was good, and she felt a lot better after eating.

"Anything else?"

"No thanks, Skye. This was amazing."

"Thanks. I picked up a few tips watching-" She broke off and bit her lip, her white hands gripping the table hard.

Simmons reached over and put her hand over her friend's. "It will take time, but you will get over him."

"I know, I know, but it still hurts."

"It always will. Being betrayed like that, just after you fell in love with him, that's not an easy thing to forgive." Skye nodded and picked up the empty plate that Simmons had left on the table, walking over to the kitchen sink.

"I'll just clear this up. Do you want to go back and see him?"

Simmons forced a small smile. "Maybe tomorrow."
