Storm felt hurt.  Emotionally.  Not physically.  Not yet.  She had been sure Stratus was loyal to her, her most loyal brother and friend.  Yet here he was, trying to kill them!

Mind over matter, she told herself.  You have to get your sisters out of here, before they die!  She leaped into the air, hovering above everyone, and surveyed the crowd of panicking sisters below.  Raindrop was crying again.  Glade seemed to be trying to fit as much food into her mouth as possible, while almost choking.  Even Mist had carefully rolled up her scroll and was pretending to act brave.

At least everyone had a little common sense this time.  Before Storm could tell them to escape, Mist had already flung open the window and herded her sisters outside.

They leaped out into the open sky.  Storm looked mournfully back at their library, with all the books, their grand lobby with its high ceiling and golden sunset clouds swirling near the roof, their caves that had been personalized - or dragonalized, for each of them.

But now they were heading for their mother's individual palace - the Sunset Palace.  Storm wondered what punishment would befall Stratus.  Maybe he would be executed, she thought, with both a shudder and, to her disgust, a tinge of joy.
