Chapter 17

Latoya POV....

Three weeks later......

It's been hard for me the last three weeks to process the fact that my husband has kill someone. Every time I close my eyes I saw the pictures of the scene in my head. I miss having Josh driving me around and I just want to tell him how much I love him. I lazily get out of bed and walk to Cassie room, she was sleeping so peaceful but I have to wake her for school.

"Cassie wake up honey, time to get ready for school" I said gentle shoving her shoulder.

"Mommy I don't want to go to school today" she frown

"Baby come on two more day and you will be on weekend break, then you can sleep as long as you want OK" I said pulling her into my arms.

She slowly flick her eyes open and look on me smiling, she has such a beautiful smile and I love her so much. I let her cool off in my lap first before I shower her, I didn't keep her long in the shower because its getting late. I brush her hair and put it in a ponytail and get her dress for school. We then head to the kitchen where I fix her favorite cereal 'cheerios'  with warm milk, she eat up all her cereal and grab her bag and lunch bag and we walk to the car.

"Mommy would you be happy to have Mr Josh back as our driver?" Cassie ask out of the blue.

"Huh? Cassie why you ask me that?" I said surprise.

"Because am happy to have him back" she said smiling.

She let go off my hands and run to the car, I try to hold her back but she was long gone and hugging the driver. My heart drop when he turn around and the pair of dark brown eyes staring at me and giving me the charming smile I adore so much. I couldn't believe he's really here, I slowly walk towards him as he help Cassie up in the car and close the door.

"H--hi Good morning" I stammer shly.

"Good morning Mrs Martinez, how are you?" He said smiling

"Am OK and you can......... I trail but he cuts me off.

"It's getting late I think I should be going now, Cassie will be late" he said pulling the car door.

He enter the car and close the door and drive off, I wave at Cassie then walk back inside. He don't want to have nothing to do with me sigh, I don't blame him because I deny my love for him and hurt his feelings. I take a quick shower and curl my hair then apply my makeup, I get dress in a black pencil pants and a purple designer blouse. I finish off with my black heels and my purple bag. I glimpse through the window and saw Josh pulling up in the drive way, I stare at myself in the mirror then head downstairs. I open the door and walk towards the car, he open the door for me and I enter. He close the door and get in his seat and drive off, I glance at the mirror but he wasn't looking on me. We drive in silence to the store and he open the door letting me out.

A few hours later.....

I was working on a dress that I recently had a design idea for, I sit around the sowing machine and stitching up the hems. After finishing up the hems, I try it on the mannequin  and it look so beautiful. I clip up the strings from it and it was ready to go on display.

"That look so beautiful Latoya, oh my god! I have to get one" Jade squeal behind me.

"As soon as I finish off the others you can purchase yours, this one is for display" I said hiding the dress behind me. "Where is Tay?" I ask

"He's not coming in today, you know he always have something come up as he would say" she said laughing.

We both laugh and she help me with rest if the dresses because I want to finish them off today to put in the store tomorrow. And working this hard take my mind of Josh and his weird behavior towards me.

We finish off most of the dresses but we get tired and wrap things up for tomorrow. We both get back to my office and I pack my things away to leave.

"See you tomorrow" I said waving at Jade.

"Ok hun, I'm gonna stay back to close up" she said waving and enter her office.

Later in the evening....

I reach home feeling tired and exhausted, Josh still hasn't said two words to me and I just play along with him. Maybe it's for the best am married and he's  move on, he move on pretty fast though. I walk up my room and lay down for a while, I didn't know when I fall asleep. I wake by Carlos voice calling me and kissing my lips.

"Baby are you OK?" You're still in your work clothes " he said kissing my lips.

"I'm just tired I did alot of work today" I said yawning. "Where is Cassie?"

"She's sleeping babe, you really slept alot" he grin

"I'm going for a shower" I said walking to the bathroom.

I strip off my working clothes and lay back in the bathroom of warm water. After my warm bath, I put on a pink lace night gown that reaches at my mid-thigh and put my white robe over it. I walk down to the kitchen and saw Carlos placing two plates on the table with Chinese food with two glasses of red wine.

"Baby you must be hungry, come on eat" he said pulling out my chair.

"I'm starving" I said as I dig in the Chinese food.

I eat up everything in a flash before Carlos could finish his food, I wait on him to finish then I wash the dishes while he head up to the bedroom. I walk up to the bedroom as finish the dishes and saw Carlos laying in his back sleeping. I climb on top of him and start kissing his lips "Carlos I want you" I whisper between kisses.

"Latoya I want to sleep am tired" his husky voice said but I didn't stop. I trail kisses on his neck straight down to his belly button and slide my hands in his boxer massaging his shaft. " babes please wake up, I want you" I whisper in his ears.

"Latoya I said am tired, just go to bed" he said angrily and push me off.

I sadly lay on my side and scroll through my Facebook page, I look and alot of things cause I didn't want to sleep. I place my phone down and the bedside table and start playing with the necklace Josh gave me for my birthday. I never take it off and will never, I didn't want to sleep so I quietly get out of bed and go check on Cassie. She lay peacefully sleeping and I kiss her forehead before walking out. I walk to the kitchen for a glass of water and glimpse over the guest house and the light were on.

I want to go over there but I can't, before I know it my feet walks out the door and my hands close it quietly. I walk towards the guest house, (Latoya what are you doing? You know what will happen if you go over there and Carlos will kill you both) the annoying voice play in my head. I stop in my tracks and spin around to go back to the house but I ignore the annoying voice and walk up to the guest house and nervously knock on the door. I wait patiently for the door to open and it did, I look up on Josh shirtless showing off his sexy abs and his dark brown eyes staring at me while on his phone.

"H--hi" I shly said

"Amanda I'll call you back" he said and hang up the phone. " its something wrong Mrs Martinez?" He ask with an unknown expression.

"No sorry to stop by I was just going to the pool" I lied

Before he could say another word I quickly walk over to the pool and I hear the door close. I feel tears forming in my eyes as I think about the person he was talking to and how quickly he move on. Who the hell is Amanda?
