Chapter 24

Josh POV....

I drive Carlos to the club still worrying about Latoya, I park the car in the parking lot and we enter the club. Music blasting in the air and sweaty horny people dancing and making out. I push  through the crowd behind Carlos and we walk down to his office. Three men were standing by the office door and he open it letting us in. We all take a seat infront him as he speak.

"Since Todd is no longer with us, this is a new member Josh to replace Todd" he said pointing to me. "Josh meet Clive, Shawn and Liam" he introduce.

Clive was the one with the brown messy hair, ocean blue eyes and very thick with a scar on his left cheek. Shawn has black hair, emerald green eyes, skinny and look innocent and Liam has low cut dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes and muscle built body structure but has a serious look on his face. They both nodd as Carlos introduce us but Liam keep shoot death glare at me from the corner of his eyes.

"Can we trust this guy boss? There's something about him doesn't seems right boss" Liam said give me a dirty look.

"Liam keep quiet, I trust him and he will be working with us so stop being judgmental" Carlos shoots.

Liam look at me one more time then focus on Carlos " yes boss ".

" so listen up the next drop is this Saturday, so I want you guys to prepare and I'll leaving later tonight for a business trip in Mexico so when am back well finalize everything " he said " In the mean time I need you to search for Angelo where about" he continue

"Who is Angelo?" I ask

"Someone I need dead, so Josh you are in charge to find him and bring  him to me alive. I want to kill that bastard myself" he said brutally

He stand from his desk and walk to the door, we all follow behind him and he leave the club for his trip. I enter the car and drive back home, I try calling Latoya but  her phone went straight to voicemail. I pull up in the driveway and exit, I walk over to the guest house and saw Latoya banging on the door. I was so happy she's alright, I quickly walk over to her but she didn't look happy to see me.

"Baby where were you? I was worrying sick about you" I said

"Josh I need you to be honest with  me, who the hell are you? And why are you here?" She said
angrily

"Bay what are you talk......." I trail but she cuts me off.

"You know exactly what am talking about, you are a detective for God sake" she blurt out

My eyes widen when she said that, how did she know? " How did you find......." She cuts me off again.

"So its true all this time you were working undercover as my driver, all this was a lie our relationship was a lie the love for me was a........." She trail but I cut her off.

"Latoya my love for you wasn't a lie, I really care about you, just let me explain......" She cuts me off.

"There's no need to explain Josh I don't want to hear, you are just like Carlos a liar" she yell angrily

"Babe" I said holding her hands, she brush me off and run off to her house. I run behind her but she lock the door in my face, I can't loose her now I love her so much. I didn't mean to hide my true identity from her but I was waiting on the right time to tell her.

Latoya POV....

I close the door in Josh face and run up to my room, I drop myself on the bed and start to cry. How could he hide that from me? I thought he actually care about me and love me as he said but everything was a total lie. I  reach for my phone that was switch off and turn it on, I haven't seen Carlos from I get back or hear from him. I nervously dial his number and wait for him to pick up.

"So you finally decide to call huh, where the hell were you Latoya?" He ask angrily

"Carlos am sorry Jade been going through a rough break up and I was comforting her. My phone battery die am sorry if I got you worried" I lie "where are you?" I continue

"I'm on a business trip, I'll be back on Friday we'll talk then I have to go" he said

He hang up on me just like that, I know he's angry but am also angry with him. Shit! I curse Angelo want these sign by tomorrow and Carlos isn't here to sign them. I pick the folio up and fake Carlos signature on them, there's no way am gonna help Angelo. My phone start to ring and Josh name flashes over the screen, I turn it on silent and put it on the bedside table. I lay on my side and curl my knees to my chest and crying my eyes out, I didn't even see the door push open and Cassie appears.

" Mom why are you crying ?" she said sadly

"I'm not crying baby just having a terrible headache, come here" I said forcing a smile.

I dry my tears and reach out for her, I pull her into my arms and wrap the duvet over her and hug he tight.

"Go to sleep my little angel, mommy love you so much" I whisper in her ears

"I love you too Mommy and top crying the headache won't stop" she said smiling.

I smile back at her and manage to hold back the tears rushing down, I close my eyes blocking out everything from my head and fall asleep.
