"It's just a broken nose. I'll be fine." I mutter, walking from the bus stop to my apartments.
"And a tooth knocked out!" Angie exclaims.
"It was nothing compared to the other people in there." I brush off.
"What about Sam?" Ricky asks.
"Don't ever say his name again." I growl through clenched teeth.
"Wh-why?" He asks shyly. I make eye contact with Angie, seeing the confusion in her eyes.
"He told me. That fucker told me what he did to you." Her eyes go wide at my words and her face goes paler than it already is. "I see him again and he's dead." I finish. Her eyes well up and Ricky tilts his head.
"Luke I-"
"Save it. The less I know, the better. Should've known he was bad news." I sigh out. The rest of the walk was quiet, no one willing to say anything to break the silence. We all head into my apartment and sit in the main room. Ricky looks at me with concern, lips parted as if he wanted to say something. "I'm going to bed." I say finally, not waiting as I get up and lock myself in my room. What happened? Life has always been shit, but now... nothing is ok. I slide a box from under my bed, pulling out a bottle of whiskey. I've been hiding this from Ricky, from everyone. I take a nice swig and sigh out. I just want to lash out, get into a fight. I'm already fucked up, but that doesn't change the urge. I pull out my phone and text someone I haven't spoken to for a while.

Ight text me the addressI grab a shitty shopping bag and throw the bottle in there, texting her the address and getting my shit together. I storm out of the room and ignore the questions from the pair still on the couch with sad faces. I slam the door behind me and walk off, seeing her car pull up and hopping in.
"You look like shit." She scoffs.
"Yeah." I answer simply, her driving off. So who is Ashley? She's my ex, the one from highschool that showed me how to have fun. We used to fuck and party all the time. I knew she hasn't changed, seeing the shit on social media, and right now I need some distraction. We pull up to a frat house and head in. The loud music gives me an instant headache, so I grab my whiskey and have a good time.
...
My head pounds, making me groan as I wake. Light is hitting my face, an unusual thing for me to wake up to. I sit up and rub my eyes, finally able to open them. I look next to me on the bed, my gut clenching, making me feel sick.
"Oh, fuck." I mutter. Her brown eyes flutter open and the blanket falls as she sits up, exposing her bare chest.
"'Mornin, tiger." She greets tiredly. I immediately jump up and fight my clothes back on. "What? That's it? A cum n go?" She jokes.
"Ashley, what the fuck happened last night." I ask wearily.
"With you? You drank, danced, snorted some coke, and fought some guy. Then you threw me against the wall and we made out, coming up stairs and having sex." Fuck.
"Oh god." I wince, running to a bathroom and puking my stomach empty. She appears in the doorway, clothed now.
"Damn, can't handle this life anymore? I've never seen you like this after a party before." She held a grin.
