It was weird, feeling a body collide with mine. I expected to meet the sidewalk, to finally be ok. I open my eyes to see a man looking right back at me. He looked crazy, green eyes wide and body shaking.

"Holy shit. You're ok." He sighs out in relief.

"Who are you?" I ask, unsure of what had just happened.

"My name is Gary. I just saved your life." He manages through his panting.

"You saved me? Why?" I ask simply.

"You don't deserve to die. Your life is precious." He breathes out.

"Luci!" I look to find the familiar face of Ricky's, soon feeling him hug me close. His tears are instantly soaking into my shirt. Sirens can be heard in the distance faintly. I didn't die. This stranger just risked everything to save me. Why?

"Are you ok?" Gary asks me. Blood clutters the sidewalk, some mine, some Ricky's.

"Luke! Are you ok?!" Ricky shouts at me, face tear-stained.

"You're bleeding. We need to stop the bleeding." I mutter to him.

"I'm fine! Luci please answer me! Are you ok?" Ok? I...

"I don't feel anything." I answer.

"He's probably in shock." Gary says, quickly yanking his hoodie off and wrapping it around me. "You both were up there?" He asks Ricky.

"Y-yeah." He answers shyly. Gary doesn't hesitate to check his wounds.

"You both were going to jump, weren't you?" He asks sadly.

"Ricky... He doesn't deserve to die." I mumble, unsure of who I was talking to exactly.

"Neither of you do." He responds as cars pull up. I watch paramedics rush out of their vehicles, trying to save me. Why? Why does everyone want to save me? I felt this pit of fear in my gut, one driving me to stand and yank off the small hoodie from my shoulders and take off. I don't know why I'm running away, but I can't stop myself. I hear them call after me, dull voices in the background by now.

"Sam." I breathe out as I run. Time seems to slow down as I pass endless people. "Angie." I feel my feet ache with each step. "Ricky." My lungs burn with the desire for oxygen. "Luke." My vision blurs as I force myself to run faster. "Why?" I feel a hard object collide with my left side, forcing the breath from me as I fall hard. I groan on the hard ground, trying to see the ginger angel who has stopped me.

"You asshole." I hear her force out, her voice shaking as she tries to stop herself from falling apart. I try to speak, but my throat is dry and my lungs are on fire. "You tried to leave me alone. Like Sam did. I can't do this on my own, Lucifer. I hurt too. We all hurt." I roll onto my back and close my eyes.

"Why?" I cough out.

"Why? Why what? Why did I stop your dumbass? You're bleeding heavily and nearly killed yourself!" She shouts as the others run over to us.

"I don't wanna go back to the hospital." I groan out.

"You should've thought about that then." Angie spits as I'm helped up and walked into the ambulance.

"I can't. I can't go back." I manage, still winded.

"Why?" Gary asks. I close my eyes and see my father, disappointed and heartless. I tear up as I see what he's done to me.

"I... I don't have any money." I spit out quickly.

"You're parents are loaded,  Luci. I called them and they offered to pay for you both." Angie informs me.
