Part 6
That dirty jerk. She watched him walk through the doors confidently, eyes sweeping past everyone in the room, taking everyone in with a short quick glance. She watched as his sharp eyes focus on the women longer than the men, looking appreciatively up and down their bodies.
Then his gaze turned to her. She fought the urge to bite her tongue and hold her breath, glaring back rebelliously at him. Somehow, she’d gotten used to his eyes lingering on her as he had done on the first day of auditions, but it didn’t mean she had to like it –or pretend not to.
She deliberately turned away, turning her nose up. Then his eyes moved away from her to his next target, and that gesture struck her closer to her heart than she thought possible. She turned slightly towards his direction, shocked and a little hurt to find that his eyes were tagged on the person sitting beside her intently.
She tried her best to ignore the stupid pain stabbing in her heart and the prickling behind her eyes. Damn it, why would she want to cry over such a small matter? What was wrong with her?
“Chica? What is wrong? You look like someone ran over your baby.” Alvron observed worriedly at her side, taking her attention with a light touch on her wrist. She kept the rising tears back and forced a smile on her face.
“I don’t have a baby, but if I had, it would be you, and I’ll like a train to do the running-down on you.” She smiled sweetly to hide the hurt in her heart, and Alvron flinched slightly at the acidity in her tone. He was surprised, but Lexi knew that she’d dropped replies worse than this at him before, and Alvron knew how to deal with her sharp tongue –mostly by ignoring the comments altogether.
Alvron looked around perplexedly, and she knew he was trying to find out what was bothering her. She wasn’t nervous at all about the competition, for she knew she had good chances in the first few rounds of auditions, so Alvron knew it wasn’t her nerves that were breaking her down.
She saw her friend catch the gaze of the wretched jerk who had moved to take a seat by himself over at a corner of the room, positioned exactly so that he would be keeping them in his line of vision. She spotted the other women and a handful of guys in the room turning their heads to follow his movement, but she had an idea that he was entirely oblivious to the attention that he was getting.
“Ah…” Alvron found his grin again, turning back towards her with a mischievous glint in his eyes. “You’re upset that you cannot give him a blowjob?”
Lexi cursed at herself for ever admitting it to Alvron. He would never let it rest for as long as she lived.
In her reply, she punched him heavily on his forearm to show that she wasn’t happy, and he sobered up quickly.
“Chica, I don’t understand you. When I see someone my eyes appreciate, I actually go up to her and talk to her nicely. Some like it dirty, some like it sweet. But I’ve never heard of your method of flirting. I doubt that insulting a man and bringing down his confidence will land you a BJ.”
She put her hands around Alvron’s throat and squeezed lightly, pushing him back and forth to let her fingers dig into his neck.
“I’m not going to give him a BJ. He’s a dirty jerk and I henceforth will not be bothered by him, neither will you if you consider yourself my friend.” She declared, but the corner of her eye caught his lips lifting up in an amused smile. She looked around her for any other amusing activity happening around her, but found none. He must have been looking in their direction to see her wrapping her hands around Alvron’s throat, but why would that be amusing to him?
