╳ " Sounds pretty cool. ", I stated while the others gasped, I already knew by that one eyed that she'd say something weird. Although, rituals aren't too weird. I haven't done one before and I didn't care for it, as long as we got her back to whatever family and regular life, I'm fine. Either way, she led us to a door behind the bookshelves, the others shivered but I couldn't muster any feelings to exactly care, let alone be scared, but the anxiety took a toll on me. " I'm sure you know a ritual is, well it's something like that. ", Baby began. " This is simple, possibly easy if we do it right. We just follow the book and we'll be fine. "

" Jesus. ", Patton muttered while Logan and Roman listened, I assumed they were too shocked to figure out what to say. " So what? We throw this book at you and you'll suddenly be a human? ", I said sarcastically, as much as this adventure was fun and weird, I'm tired as hell. Besides, why didn't we just come here in the first place? God, this is confusing but I didn't mention it. " No, jeez don't be rude. There's something called opening the book and reading it you idiot. ", Baby ranted while opening a door at the back of library. " Gosh, never knew that. ", I mumbled while Baby handed me the book, I flipped to a couple pages and looked at it with a blank face. " I can't read it. It's in a different language. "

" Well, sorry to ruin your sweet dreams. ", Baby spat and snatched the book, she proceeded walking into the room while Roman closed the door behind us. They all whispered about the ritual and what they'd do once this is all over. Things about school and daily activities, although the only thing I wanted to do was spend more time with my boyfriend, I guess our relationship would be different once we finish this. " C'mon, we're almost there. "

" How do you know this place? "

" Found it before I became this thing. "

" So, you were into rituals and other things? ", Roman inquired.

" Nah, curiosity lead me here. ", She stated before approaching another door and opening it. Entering a dimmed room with bookshelves off to the side and a couple well-lit candles, in the middle was a circle drawn in chalk but nothing interesting was in the middle. " Uh, okay. Here's what you guys are going to do. ", Baby looked around the room with the book in her hands, grabbing a couple bottles whilst we waited and watched her grab multiple things before walking to us again. " Here, your going to say that. ", Baby replied, handing me the book and pointing at the saying at the bottom of it, written in an unknown language that I had no ability of saying. I looked over to see her handing the other three certain bottles to use. " Okay, lets do it- "
" Hold up. I have no idea what this says. ", I stopped her, Baby groaned and trudged over to my side. " Alright, I have no idea either. "

" You gotta be kidding me. "

" What? You think I know everything? "

" You were the one who got us into this mess and basically, our guide to everything else but you can't read something in your own language? "

" This isn't something you can learn in five minutes okay?! You don't know what this is like! "

" I actually do considering how I watched my own friend fake their death and watched so many other things! ", I continued. " And here we are, fighting over something you can't freaking read. "

" Just try and read it, okay? Please, you'll be able to get rid of me and I'll leave you alone. I don't want to do this but I am. Do it that way it'll be done. ", She said with sorrow laced into her words, I felt a pang if guilt but I didn't show it. " Fine. Get to it then. ", I replied. The three looked at me before turning away, my anxiety raised as she walked into the middle of the circle and sat down. We surrounded her.
First, Roman held four different fluids, he gently poured them into the circle creating a variety of patterns. " This is so weird.. ", He whispered, I glanced over to him and looked at Logan grabbing his hand, for the first time, I felt happy again.

Second, Patton held two bottles of different spices - whatever they were - and sprinkled them onto the circle, mixing in with the fluids. He set the bottles down, facing towards me with a smile. " We're gonna be happy again. ", He whispered, I smiled in response.

Third, Logan held two empty bottles, he groaned before doing anything. " Why did you choose me for this? "

" Because I thought you'd like this type of thing. It's like a mini therapy session. "

" They do not tell us to break two glass bottles on the ground. "

" Quit whining and break the bottles. ", She answered, Logan opened his mouth but didn't say anything in response, he broke one bottle then the second, the sound of glass breaking echoed into the room; leaving behind shards of glass. " C'mon Virgil, you can do this! "

" Let's hope so. ", I remarked, looking down at the book, chanting the saying three times, the ground shook as I said it before a light formed. " I said the right thing, right?! ", I shouted while the light grew larger. " I think so! ", Patton shouted, the light formed like a big bubble before bursting, sending us into the wall. I crashed into the cement wall before hitting the ground with a grunt, the shaking stopped and the light slowly faded away. I opened my eyes and looked around, Roman and Logan were on the other side of the room while me and Patton were on the ground. " patton..? ", I groaned, scooting closer to him and shaking his shoulder, he lifted his head, his nose was bleeding but he looked okay. " Are you alright? "

" Yeah, I'm─── look over at Baby! ", He exclaimed, I stood up with a limp and helped Patton up, he went to the other two while I found myself with Baby, I bent down to her. She was completely different; Baby had messy ginger orange hair, her skin was pale but with a couple, freckles expect she was wearing a red sweater with jeans and red shoes, I shook her shoulder and waited. " what- what am I? "

" Human. ", I answered with a smile, she looked up to me with a grin, she had freckles all over her face and green eyes, exactly like the ones before. " How you feeling? "

" Less empty, more.. human? ", Baby laughed happily, shedding tears and hugging herself. " God, I missed myself so much. "

" Welcome back. ", I responded, her arms wrapped around me and I held her back.
