My mom and I stand in the airport checking my bags in. My mother tells me that I need to text her when I get through the security gate, when I find my gate, when I get on the plane, when I land, and when dad picks me up. I kiss my mom goodbye and head off towards security. I get through without a problem and text my mom. After texting her, I look at the flight board to see where I need to go and what time the plane lands and if it's delayed. I have two hours to spare so I find a Starbucks and get a coffee and a magazine to flip through. To be completely honest, I was terrified of flying by myself. I've flown with my mom and dad but never alone. I was having I mini heart attack. Sitting and waiting took forever. The lady that sat next to me while waiting smelled like moth balls and there was a man who looked like he was a part of the secret service.
Finally the plane came up to the boarding gate and the lady called for everyone to board. I walked up the archway. Her hair was blonde with brown roots and it was straight. She had smudges of red lipstick in her teeth and her smile was completely fake. She looked me up and down, made a disgusted look and asked for my ticket. I gave it to her and entered the hallway.
Getting onto the plane was easy and so was finding my seat.
I was towards the back of the plane at the window seat. The secret service guy was sitting in front of me and a woman that looked dead sat next to me. Behind me there was a kid that kept kicking my seat and across the aisle there was a mom with two babies that never stopped crying.
Five hours later we land in California. The airport itself is boiling and I feel like I'm going to melt into a pile of nothing. I grab my three bags and find my dad sitting near the entrance with his girlfriend. My dad is a tall guy with shortish, black hair that sticks up without gel. He's super tan and has dark green eyes. His name is Jayden, but his close friends call him Jay. His girlfriend is short and tan, but not as tan as dad. Her hair is long and a golden brown. Her eyes are also green but they have golden specks. Her name is Evelyn, but she hates it and makes everyone call her Evey.
"Naomi! I haven't seen you in like, forever!" she screams as she hugs me. Dad comes over and gives me a bear hug and takes the suitcases.
"I missed you sweetheart, love you" he says. I tell him that I love and missed him too. Then we head out towards the car.
**later**
As we drive up the steep, long driveway, the house come into view. It's a light blue house that sits on a hill with a pathway leading down to the beach below. There are windows covering the whole back of the house and a couple randomly placed on the don't and sides. The shrubs and flowers and placed perfectly and are nearly cut and watered. I walk into the foyer and I smell vanilla. Dad takes my bags up to my room as I go to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Our entire house looks like it came out of a magazine. The foyer has a grand stair case made of dark wood. The kitchen is off to the left and the laundry room and bathroom are to the right. Dark wood goes all the way around the bottom floor except in the living room. The kitchen has dark wood cabinets and granite counter tops. All of the appliances are stainless steel. Right next to it is the dining room with the dark wood/glass table with the designer white plush chairs. To the right of the dining room is the loving room with flawless white carpet floors and a white couch and love seat. A green, brown, and blue rug is in front of the flat screen that's against the west wall. On the north wall there are hug French doors the lead to the backyard that has a pool, hot tub, dog food and water bowls and the pathway leading to the beach. Upstairs there's my room, the master suit, and a guest bedroom. My room is yellow, white, and gray. It has a walk in closet with clothing from last summer. My balcony has a lounge chair and a mini fridge.
I unpack all my clothes and then go downstairs for dinner, pasta with alfredo and a salad. I finish quickly because I'm hungry, head upstairs and put on my pajamas. Then I lay down in bed and fall asleep right as my head hits the pillow.
