I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror. My hair is a mess and I have leftover makeup under my eyes. I quickly take a shower and blow dry my hair. I apply my usual makeup, minimal foundation, filled in eyebrows, mascara, and winged eyeliner. I straighten my hair that's brunette with ombréd. My hair reaches the top of my hips because I haven't cut it for 10 years, not counting the hair appointments that are scheduled for trims. I put on my bikini, a white triangle string one, and a pair of shorts. I grab my sunglasses, my beach towel and a book. Then I slip on my shoes and head to the beach.
It's hot outside, but not boiling so I can lay on the beach without sweating.
I'm there for about 30 minutes when a guy around my age comes over to me and sits down.
"Hey, I'm Hudson what's your name?" He asks.
"Naomi." I reply, just glancing up. Hudson has sandy hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and perfect teeth.
"Well, Naomi I couldn't help but notice you aren't with anyone else." He comments.
"Yeah, because I live in that blue window covered house right there." I told him.
"That house looks so cool compared to mine. Dude, mines the green one over there." he pointed. It was three houses down from mine.
"You called me dude. Wow." I say smirking.
"Oh, does that like offend you or something. Sorry if it does." He says apologetically.
"Nah, it's fine. I just haven't been called dude before." I explain.
"Cool, cool. Hey we should, you know...hang out this summer. What do you say?" He asks me.
"Yeah, that would be fun." I reply.
"Okay. Here's my number. Text me letter. I have to go so yeah. Bye, Naomi." he says, walking away. After staying for about 15 more minutes, I pack up my stuff and go back towards the house. I go back up to my room and put on actual clothes. A black crop top, light high waisted shorts, and a flannel tied around my waist. I tied my hair up into a top knot and throw on my converse. Then I grab my purse and wallet and head to the mall.
