Chapter 17

Hoseok's POV

"...Y/N. She's my ex girlfriend."

There... Y/N... is my past girlfriend. And I'm still deeply in love with her. I'm sure she's aware of it but she's still my best friend and contented with the closeness we have right now. "What?! How'd that happen? Y/N?!" he shouldn't be surprised since he's been witnessing how close we are. I'm happy we're getting closer as best friends. But there are times that I suffer why we couldn't make it in the end as lovers. "It was exactly 9 years ago since she transferred to the middle school I was going." Like I said, we became close real fast plus another friend she made throughout the days.

-FLASHBACK-

I took out my phone to text Y/N and join me here. I want to show her my new dance cover that I've been practicing for a month. Hope she replies soon, lunch break is nearly over and I badly want to show her right now.

-CHAT-

Hoseok: Hey, where are you?

Y/N: I'm inside the classroom

Hoseok: Can you come? Please?

Y/N: Why? It's almost time for class

Hoseok: Please, Y/N? If you don't come I'll do a lot of aegyo

Y/N: ...fine

Hoseok: I'm waiting!

Y/N did come, thank god. I thought she wouldn't come again just like what she did the last time. She's a troll sometimes so I don't get why the whole class won't appreciate her. It took about 3 minutes before she arrived. "What now, Hoseok?" she crossed her arm looking annoyed but cute. I knew she hated walking from the school building to here. It's quite a walk... I showed her what I've been practicing but this dance needed a partner actually, so I asked her to dance with me. "What?! No!" I knew she would say that but I really need her to be my partner! I've been teaching her for months now; she could get the hang of it.

"You're the only one who knows J-Hope! Please!" I begged hard until she says yes. I'm not even gonna give up until she says yes! I did some aegyo to piss her off. She's so cute! I made an account on a streaming site under the name J-Hope and only she knows about it. I somehow can't find the courage to tell my friends about it. I get this feeling they'll just laugh it off.

"Alright, fine! Just stop doing aegyo!" finally! I'm able to make her say yes! I told her not to worry since we'll gonna be covering out faces. It's too early to reveal myself so I wear masks whenever I do dance covers. "I promise you this is gonna be the collab of the year!" I hugged her very tight; she's already used to it really. I tend to get clingy around my closest friends especially Y/N. "You better treat me lunch tomorrow, Hoseok." Of course, I will! If I could give her everything she wants, then I will. I won't even hesitate. She became very important to me at a short period of time; I want to protect her from everyone.

Two years have passed since that day. The morning before I went to school, I received an email from the dance club president. Y/N and I became even closer but I didn't tell her the news yet. I don't join clubs and neither does she; clubs will just take up my time rehearsing for my covers. But it's the first time I got invited from the president himself.
