Authors note: Thank you for clicking on Bittersweet Devotion! I'd just like to start by saying, most of these characters are NOT mine. All credits go to the wonderful George Lucas for that. However there are some of my own, original characters as is most parts of the story line.
HERE IT IS EVERYONE! The final draft. A little backstory: I started this book in 2014 (at age 13) and completed it in 2017 (age 16). There will be many changes made as I edit this story for the last time, as a much improved writer and a fully grown adult. One very notable change includes the name of my original character. Formally known as Kaeli, she shall now be known as, Atherain. This is non-negotiable, I've spent too long cringing about the fact that I put my own name in my first fanfiction. Aside from that, most of the changes will be smaller (eg. sentence structure, fixing up weird plot holes, making the relationships between characters overall more engaging and realistic & rewriting from first person to third person) but hopefully make this story so much better than the original.
If you were lucky enough to read the terrible original before I unpublished it & are still around to see the final edit. I love you <3

There lived a young, human girl, who had many dreams of a bigger, brighter life for herself. Her name was Atherain Tyandas and after becoming an orphan at a very young age, she was raised by two struggling mechanics. The couple had another daughter of their own, who would quickly become Rain's best friend. This was how it had always been for her, and probably how it always would be...

This is a story of love, betrayal and revenge. Of how one girl's life changed forever after one terrible event. She is the only one who can decide whether the change was for the better, or for the worse.
And so, on the dusty, desert planet of Tatooine her story begins...
