Peter declined the suit at first, but something told Tony to insist.

'But what about my school work? I don't want to be a drop out Mr Stark.'

'I can get them to send it out here.'

'And May?'

'You can go see her whenever you want. I'll always make sure there is a car ready'

'Ok...' Peter nodded, 'Ok Mr Stark'

'Now how about you go try that on' Tony said pointing to the Iron Spider suit.

Peter's face filled with excitement. When he returned, wearing the suit, Tony's face filled with pride.

He was so proud of Peter, but he didn't quite know how to show him. His dad had never shown that he was proud of him. He went over to Peter and put a hand on his shoulder, 'It-uh-it suits you kid'

Peter smiled, 'Thanks Mr Stark!'

Tony wrapped his arm around Peter and walked with him.

'Now kid. There are over 100 reporters out there. I believe it's time I introduce them to the newest member of the Avengers' he smiled.

'Of the-the Avengers?' Peter stuttered.

'Yeah I said 'to the team'. What did you think I meant?'

'I-I don't know. Backup?'

Tony laughed. 'Congrats kid, you made it. You're an Avenger'

Peter tried to contain his excitement. I'm an Avenger! I'm finally an Avenger! ... Maybe Mr Stark has been paying attention to me all this time...

As the doors to the reporters opened, a wake of anxiety struck Peter.

Lucky his mask could cover it. Peter's heart was beating fast, he could feel it pumping against his chest. Tony still had his arm on Peter's shoulders, and could sense he was tense.

'You alright kid?' he whispered.

Peter nodded, but underneath the mask he wasn't.

He watched as Tony talked, everything feeling hazy. Tony was now introducing Peter to the reporters.

'Now I welcome to you the newest member of the Avengers, Spiderman!' Tony gestured to Peter. Peter nodded towards the cameras. The reporters began to bombard him with questions. He began to feel light headed.

'T-Tony c-can we go inside for a minute?' he said breathlessly, 'I-I just need some air'

'S-Sure kid' Tony turned to the reporters, 'If you'll please give us a moment'

Tony took Peter inside. As they were walking Peter's legs were becoming weak.

'Kid?' Tony quickly helped him to a nearby couch.

When Peter sat on the couch, his mask  swiftly returned to his suit. Peter hunched over and tried to control his breathing.

'Peter? Karen what's going on?' Tony asked concerned.

'Peter's experienced a panic attack. His heart rate increased dramatically.'

'Peter...?'

'I'm ok Sir...'

Tony put his hand on Peter's shoulder, 'Look at me kid.'

Peter looked up.

'You aren't ok.'

'I'm fine' Peter insisted.

'You can always turn to me Pete, you know that'

'I-I know...It's just- t-there's a lot of people out there and I don't know if I want to out just yet-'

'-That's fine. Just wait here for a second.'

Tony left Peter and poked his head out the door to the eager reporters.

'I'm afraid we will have to post-pone.'

Many reporters looked confused and mumbled to each other.

'Why?' one reporter yelled.

'Why? Because the health of one of my colleagues is far more important than one of your exclusives. Now, I wish you all a good day.' Tony nodded to the reporters before closing the door.

He returned to Peter to find Pepper comforting him as he fidgeted with his glass of water.

'W-Were they mad?' he asked.

'No. Peter you don't have to worry about that. Even if they were, they still would've had to leave.' He shrugged.

That's true. Peter thought.

Tony turned to Pepper, 'Can you give us a minute'

She nodded and met Happy.

'Peter, you're a strong kid. But it's ok not to be strong all  the time.'

'You are' Peter mumbled.

Tony laughed, 'Me! Peter, I have anxiety too. The attack on New York, I think about that all the time. Ultron, the thought still haunts me. But it's our weaknesses that bring out our strengths.' Tony hugged Peter, 'It's gonna be ok kid'.

Peter had now regained control of his breathing. 'Ok, Mr Stark'

'Please Peter, call me Tony'

Peter nodded 'O-Ok Tony'

Sorry for it being bad and so short! I've been really busy lately. Next part should be better :)
