Looking out the window, I nipped my bottom lip in worry. What if they don't like me with him? I know Sang-Chul has a pretty high-profile job, he works for the Hirahara company, after all. But I just have a normal office job at a local blooming business. I'm pretty good friends with the CEO, which I think is why I got the job in the first place to be honest.

"Hey, everything alright?" my boyfriend asked me, tapping on my shoulder. I whipped my head around, startled. He lightly pressed a kiss to my forehead and looked at me with his light blue eyes.

"My folks'll love you, don't worry, okay?" he reassured, patting my hand. I looked at him with worry and sighed, smiling a little.

"You really know how to calm me down, Sang-Chul Kim."

__

"We're here, we're here- holy shit this is huge." My mouth hung wide open as I looked at the towering plaza in which the party was held. "Babe, I thought you said this was a place that's normal. How is this normal in any way, shape, or form." Sang-Chul laughed and stuck out an arm for me to loop mine through.

Time for our relationship to come crashing down, let's go.

__

"What."

"I thought you'd actually be a lot worse looking, but you're very clean cut, I have to admit," Mr. Kim commented, twisting one of the rings on his finger. I laughed nervously and shot a glance at Sang-Chul, wrapping my pinky finger around his index.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim. You're too kind."

"You're better than I thought you would be," Mrs. Kim mused, taking a look at me. I raised an eyebrow but smiled warily.

"Thank... you?" She laughed and wrapped an arm around her husband's, who looked at us.

"Why don't you two go and enjoy the party? We'll be going around the common area and saying hi to a few others. Feel free to enjoy yourselves."

__

"I thought they'd hate me!" I laughed, rubbing my temples and taking a drink from my martini. "They don't dislike me, oh my god!" Sang-Chul chuckled and kissed my cheek, squeezing my hand.

"Of course they don't. I knew they'd like you. Just like how I did when I first set my eyes on you."

"That's so out-of-character for you, Sang-Chul." I pushed his shoulder and smiled. "What are you on?"

"Love."

"Oh my god that's so cheesy I swear." I finished off my drink and thanked the bartender and slipped off the backless chair, holding onto my boyfriend's arm.

"You ready to dance?" he asked, looking at me. I sighed and gripped his sleeve.

"I can't dance. The last time I did was in primary school with my mother." He laughed and pulled me to the center of the crowd.

"Then I'll show you." As he guided me to mimic his footsteps, he muttered the instructions: "Right foot back, left foot out. Right foot up, left foot back..." Soon enough we were waltzing perfectly in sync with the other couples.

"You've practiced before, haven't you?" I commented, looking at him. Sang-Chul grimaced and sighed.

"It's embarrassing."

"C'mon, you can tell me-"

"I have."

"With who?" I was interested to know. With other people he's dated?

"My mother," he mumbled, looking down, attempting to hide his beet-red face. I burst into laughter, drawing the attention of some near us, who looked away right after.

"You haven't danced with anyone else?"

"Afraid not," he sighed, pulling me closer so our chests were near touching. My heart felt like it was going to leap out of my throat as butterflies built up in my stomach, threatening to spill out.

"So you haven't had anyone else?"

"No, actually. You're my first. A first in many things, to be honest. But you were my best first." I giggled and rested my chin on his shoulder.

"Because I was your only first," I said softly, my whispers tickling his ear. Sang-Chul hummed and gripped my waist, pressing light kisses to my forehead. I closed one eye and smiled, loving the feeling of his cold lips touching my warmed skin.

I felt his finger tilt my chin up so my eyes met with his. Pressing my lips against his, we shared a kiss under the neon lights of the party, the various reds, greens, and blues mixing together to make wonderful hues of colors.
