The next day was here before I knew it and Niall would be here soon. I was biting my nails, feeling like I would shit bricks any second now.
A knock at the door made me jump off the couch, running over to see who it was.
"Hey." Harry spoke, stepping inside.
Fuck are you doing here?
And why the fuck do you smell so good?"Hey. What's up? Did you need anything?" I smiled, running my hands over my messy hair. He looked nervous, too nervous.
"I wanna ask Gracie to be my girlfriend." He stared at the ground, only glancing up to see my reaction.
No. Sorry but you can't date her. Nope. Still in love with you so I do not bless this relationship.
"Harry that's great." I smiled, my eyes welling up with tears. "Um, will you excuse me for a second." I choked, feeling myself lose balance.
I couldn't do this.
"Kay." A hand reached out for me, holding me in place. My heart was racing, I couldn't breathe. "I've got you. It's okay, I'm right here." Niall cooed as he held me to his chest.
He smelled heavenly. Even better than Harry did.
My breathing slowed down and I looked up at Niall. I still couldn't see his eyes, but I've never felt more at peace.
"You okay?" He spoke, his fingers slipping under my chin.
I'm perfect.
"Ehem?" Harry cleared his throat, uncomfortable with the situation. Oh fuck you. Go ask Gracie out already.
My focus was on Niall, who smiled at me like there was no other girl in the room. I mean, no one else was in the room, but I still felt special as shit.
"I'm gonna go Kay. Seems you have company." And I heard the door shut.
Harry had left, and I was still in Niall's arms.
I pulled back slowly, rubbing my elbow. "Thanks for calming me down." I smiled, looking anywhere except at Niall.
"So that's him huh? My competition?" He chuckled, fixing his dirty blonde hair.
Excuse me?
"Who Harry? No way!" I laughed. His lips were pink, and his skin looked soft and creamy.
There was an awkward silence.
I tried my luck again. "Please take of those god awful sun glasses. I'd much rather see if I'm what you're looking at."
"You're always what I'm looking at." There it was. He was flirting.
That weird ass kid who sat behind me was flirting, and I loved it.
I moved closer to him, setting my hand on his cheek. In one swift motion I pulled off the shield between his eyes and mine.
His eyes went wide, and for the first time, I could see them.
Bright blue, like the ocean.
"They're beautiful." I was staring at his eyes shamelessly.
"You're beautiful." He put his hand on my cheek. "You truly are."
I was drawn to Niall, to his mysterious demeanor, to his breathtaking smile, to his laugh and now, I was captured by the blue oceans in his eyes.
