Getting ready to face school was a drag, reminding me of how much I actually hate everyone.
In reality, I wasn't ready to face Niall. My stomach turned at the thought of his face.
"Morning mom." I smiled, kissing my mom's cheek. The kitchen smelled of freshly squeezed orange juice, my absolute favorite.
I waved at my mom and I walked out the door and into Gracie's car. She looked amazing. She was wearing a light pink dress and white vans, unusual but beautiful.
"I honestly can't believe he did that!" Gracie groaned, slamming the car door shut as I told her the gruesome first date I had. "I'm sorry I didn't answer. Good thing Harry was there." She smiled, lightly setting her hand on my shoulder before her eyes landed on Harry.
"Yeah, good thing." I mumbled as she ran to him, leaving me behind.
Harry was wearing a light pink shirt, matching with the color Gracie had on.
"Manson." He acknowledged, giving me a dimpled smiled. Fuck you Harry.
"Styles."
"Ayuso." Gracie giggled, saying her own last name.
We laughed, reassuring me that today was going to be okay.
The dat went by smoothly, and I successfully managed to remain clear of Niall Horan. I don't think I could've managed to face him.
"Need a ride?" Niall's voice rung in my ears.
Damn it didn't I just say how good it was to not see you?
"No. Please leave me alone." I rolled my eyes and kept walking toward the library where I was originally headed before Niall rudely interrupted me.
"Kaylee." He sighed, reaching over and grabbing my hand.
Just the feel of his skin on mine made my hard interior melt. I turned around, his blue eyes sending electricity through my body.
He had stopped wearing sunglasses.
"Let her go." The entire world stopped as Harry and Niall stood in front of me, Harry making sure to push me to the side.
"Or what?" Niall chuckled, looking over at me. Harry was beginning to fume, I could see it in the way his green eyes darkened.
"Harry, let's just go." I begged, pulling at Harry's arm. I wanted nothing more than to protect Niall from Harry right now.
Harry had been in many fights, and he's never lost.
"Don't fuck with me leprechaun." The situation was getting heated, and I could see Gracie emerge from the group of people that had gathered.
"Baby.." Gracie warned, eyes darting between both guys. I glanced at Niall, who's eyes looked bloodshot. The blue in them had become lighter, shifting into a pink.
What?
"Niall, back off." I stepped in between them, pushing at Niall's chest. He looked down at me, his eyes returning to the vibrant blue I knew.
"Kay I just need to talk to you." His voice was pleading. Harry's breathing increased and I could feel his green eyes shooting grenades at Niall.
"She doesn't have anything to say to you." Gracie chimed in, moving to Harry's side and pulling his arm slightly.
She wasn't wrong. My sole purpose today was to ignore Niall at all costs, but seeing him in front of me made things different.
"Kay?" Harry scoffed, stopping my train of thoughts. I knew he'd be mad at me.
"Niall, I'll talk to you. Under one condition." I turned to look at Harry, feeling my heart pound against my chest. "You don't touch Harry."
"Like he could ever touch me." Harry spat. I wanted to diffuse the situation as much as I could.
"Let me drive you home." Niall took my hand and I immediately pulled it away.
"Fine." I sighed, the crowd around us had began to disperse.
Gracie was coaxing Harry away from us, trying to lighten my already heavy load. Gracie was the best.
Niall lead me to his car, thanking me like a million times for agreeing to have him drive me.
"Why are you doing this?" I turned to face him as he drove. He bit his lip, using one hand to scratch the back of his neck.
"Kaylee, what I said that night, I was completely out of line. I was going through shit and I dumped everything on you. I can't believe I left you out there." He looked over at me, eyebrows furrowed. He seemed disappointed in himself.
"I can't believe it either." I rolled my eyes, shaking my head at his dumb excuse.
"I wanted you to hate me." He spoke, parking his car in front of my house. I was at a loss for words.
"What? What kind of excuse is that?" I laughed, realizing this was a bad idea. I opened the car door and got out, walking toward my house.
I heard his door open as well and it wasn't long before he twirled me around and placed his lips on mine.
I felt everything again.
His lips moved against mine and I let him kiss me.
"Well look at that." My mom laughed and I pushed Niall away. "That date went really well huh?" She teased.
"Sure looks like it did." A man behind my mom chuckled causing Niall to tense up.
"Sweetie, this is Niall's dad. He came to see if Niall was around but I assumed he was with you." My mom explained and I looked at Niall who looked like he had seen the devil himself.
"Nice to meet you." I smiled, walking over to shake his hand. Niall followed closely behind.
"Niall honey you didn't tell me your dad was this handsome." My mom laughed, obviously flirting with Niall's dad.
Gross.
Niall pulled at my hand, putting me behind him. He was acting so weird.
"He's quite the handsome devil." Niall said through his teeth.
What even.
