People filled my house like if it were a circus, like a shit show of some kind.

"Kay, how are you doing?" Harry stood before me, eyes filled with concern and pain.

He's known my mom for so long. This was his loss too.

"I don't...I don't know right now." I looked at the ground, sincerely confused at this entire situation.

My mom was...gone.

"Hey baby." Niall's hands wrapped around me and Harry excused himself politely. I thanked him silently.

Niall put together my mom's funeral service, ensuring me that he'd take care of everything.

"I want everyone to leave." My eyes were welling up again. All I do is cry.

"Crimson be the blood.." whispers filled the air, causing me to move from Niall's embrace. By the look on his face, he heard it too.

"It's him."

His eyes were once again covered, but I could see though those flimsy lenses.

It was like the good and the bad. One of his eyes was the color of the sky, the other reassembled the fires of hell.

People began to leave, kissing my cheek and falsely promising to check up on me as much as they could.

Harry and Gracie were the last to leave, pitifully smiling while Harry gave Niall an absolute death glare.

I had no mindset to deal with this so I sighed, leaving them both to sort their shit out.

"Harry, come on! Her mom just fucking died." Gracie scolded, her footsteps following me up the stairs.

Niall's POV

I am responsible.

I can hear her sobbing in her bedroom, clinging on to what's left of her innocence.

My father had committed the ultimate sin, and I couldn't stop him.

Harry, who I've come to dislike, stood awkwardly in the doorway. I wondered what was running through his mind.

"Kaylee can't seriously like this guy." His eyes scanned me.

Oh you wanna fight?

No Niall. Think about Kaylee. But hey, I can at least freak him out, right?

"Yes, yes she does." I smiled, watching his green eyes fill with surprise and fear.

Gracie stumbled down the stairs, giving me a look. "She's asking for you." She smiled.

Gracie was okay.

"I've got her." I let them both know, as I locked the door behind them.

"I've got her." I whispered to myself as I walked up the stairs.

I tiptoed into her room, watching her curled into a ball.

I stared her intensely. She was it. She was the only think that could break my curse.

She was the one thing in this entire universe that my father was actually afraid of.
