I've been gone foreverrrrr but enjoy my small update sorry but school bruh.
__
My mom always told me that when someone dies, a part of their soul stays with every person who loved them.
I hoped that was the case...
"Mom...don't do this to me!" My screaming was cut short by the paramedics pulling me away as they covered mom's body from the eyes of the entire neighborhood. "Fucking let go!" My small fists pounded on the poor man's chest, but he didn't let go.
"I've got her." A voice spoke from behind me, a pair of hands snaking their way around my waist.
"Are you family?" Concern in the voice of the paramedic made me dizzy.
"She's all I have now." The familiar voice spoke again, but my body was too weak to react. My words came out as soft gasps as my body gave up and I fell limp on whoever was holding me.
Black.

My eyes felt heavy as they opened, my mouth smacking at the dryness it felt.
The room I was in, was my own. I could see the chipped paint of the ceiling and the stain on the carpet from when I spilled my mom's expensive wine.
My mom..
"Mom?" I called out, images of me running into the house after seeing Niall's eyes flood into my head.
The blood around her body..
"Mom!" I yell a bit more aggressively, feeling my chest sink.
"Kaylee.." my door creaks open, revealing the pained expression of Niall's father.
He came closer to my bed where I was laying.
I had no words, but I managed to ask one question, "where is my mom?"
He sighed, setting his hand on my knee. "My sweet Kaylee Manson, I am so sorry for your loss."
His words hit me like a bullet.
It wasn't a dream.
"No, no don't tell me that." My tears fell uncontrollably as all the memories of my mother resurfaced.
I could see the smirk on the face that was trying to comfort me, but I couldn't focus. I couldn't move.
I couldn't breathe. Why couldn't I breathe?
"You're all I have left Kaylee Manson, my last resort." He chuckled, tightening his grip on my knee. "It's a pity, truly. My son seemed so infatuated with you."
Everything began to spin.
"Fight it. I'm almost there baby, fight it!" A voice in my head coaxed, the same voice I always heard. "You can fucking do it, fight it Kay!"
My eyes locked with red eyes before me, a cold chill running down my spine. "Crimson be the blood that runs through my veins." I gasped, the pressure on my chest lessening.
What the fuck did I just say?
"That's my girl." I looked up to see Niall smirking, standing at my door.
His eyes caught my attention, one red like the fires of hell, and one blue like the depths of the ocean.
"Try to touch her now, father."
The intensity in the room was mind blowing.
Niall's dad stood up, exiting the room but stopping right at my door. "Crimson it shall be, staining your floors much like your mother's."
Niall snarled, his father chuckling.
"I will see you soon my dear." He smiled, blowing me a kiss.
As soon as he was gone, my composure fell apart. "Niall.." I sobbed, watching him rush to me. "What's going on?"
He held me, kissing my head. I didn't fear him like I did earlier but one word kept playing in my head.
"Damnation."
