lauren twisted the door knob of her home, holding onto her many bags.

"go say hi to your brother upstairs, silly!" mer chuckled since lauren immediately checked her phone because of how worried she was about kenzie.

"haha, sorry!" lauren giggled, running upstairs to johnny's room.

she barged in, and saw johnny on his bed, covered in blankets.

"john?" she asked, you could see the tons of amount of care in her eyes.

"l-lauren?" he asked.

"it's me, haha." she grinned, smiling.

"well, hi." he said, getting up from his bed.

"you're a mess. was the breakup that bad?" she questioned.

"it was horrible, lauren. melissa hates me, maddie hates me, everyone hates me." he spoke, gripping onto his head in slight frustration.

"oh john, i can tell you one thing. she doesn't hate you, when i tried talking to kenzie she told me she was in straight up tears. she was crying cause she loved you, john. i tried to tell her what maisie said was a lie. she was too scared and heartbroken to trust anyone, really. but i know, that deep inside, she wanted to believe it." she said, hugging her brother.

"but for now, you need to give her time. she's gonna take awhile. i know her, she's my bestfriend." lauren continued.

"thanks, laur. now, i heard your conversation with mom, so go do your thing. i- i need to think. school's ending in awhile, lauren. enjoy yourself," he said, crawling back into his bed.

"okay, i will. but, if you wanna keep those hard rock abs, get out of that bed." she laughed, walking out of his room.
