"well, even though i kinda hate you," she giggles, "i hope we can still at least— i don't know, talk instead of me seeing your adorable smile with me running to the bathroom?" she said, then covering her mouth immediately because she just spilled her thoughts. he opens his mouth in shock, and laughs afterwards.

"but um, quick question, is it true that you really broke up with her months ago?" she asks with a concerned look in her beautiful eyes, until she technically got cut off by johnny's phone ringing.

"johnny?" a female voice spoke. he knew it was mark's mom and wondered what happened to his best friend.

"yes, mrs. thomas?" johnny stated as he got more anxious.

"please come over here at the hospital. mark was shot in the arm, but, he's recovering. he wants to see you though, and i really don't want to disappoint him cause he's already going through enough." her innocent voice spoke through the phone.

"yes, definitely. i'll be there, mrs. thomas." he said, standing up from his position and hanging up. kenzie looked at him and asked, "so? who was it?"

"mark's mom. mark got shot in the arm and he wants to see me," he responded.

"okay, i'm coming with you even if i hate that guy," she said, standing up with him.

"oh, you're not going! i don't want you to get shot too, i'd rather have myself shot than you. so, i'm not letting you come, kenz." he claimed.

"i can protect myself, for your information. i can go, orlando." she said crossing her arms.

"i'm not gonna let you—" he said until she punched him in the stomach.

"letting me come now?" she said as he winced in pain.

"no," he said, looking back up at her. "over my dead body,"

she then ambushed him— and well, a big thud came as they fell off the roof and landed on the yard.

"ow!" they said in sync, then laughing their butts off.

"we should get going now." she said, standing up yet again.

"i agree," he replied, scratching his head and they went to the car.

they ran to his room, and saw him through the window as he was fast asleep. kenzie grabbed johnny's hand as she was afraid and worried. he looked at her, then smirking a little bit afterwards.

"he's sleeping you know." he chuckled as she slapped him on the arm and smiled.

"oh yeah, what was your question earlier again?" he wondered. she took a nervous gulp and lied, "oh. it's nothing really." she said.

"oh, okay!" he exclaimed and smiled.

suddenly came in brandon rowland and kenzie smiled wide as she saw him. she ran to him and hugged him, as johnny still sat on the waiting chair.

"calling to pick up kenzie ziegler." brandon said in a manly voice as she grinned.

she noticed johnny and asked, "sorry. i asked if he could pick me up,"

"y-yeah. it's okay," he said, nodding slowly and pouted as they left.

"did i just see all that?" mark said as he suddenly opened the window with his stronger arm. johnny nodded and gave an awkward look as he walked in the room and sat beside him on his bed.

"dang, she's gonna fall for brandon." he said, then facepalmed. he looked at johnny and knew he was bothered.

"don't worry, bro. you're too good for her," he comforted and hugged him.
