We were in the car and there was nothing but silence. It wasn't awkward silence it was comforting. "Thank you again for what you did at school," I said looking up from my phone.
"You non have to thank me, you are really sweet and I no want you to get hurt," he said looking at me with a smile.
"Well, I appreciate it," I said smiling.
"I always have you back," he said putting his hand on my leg. I tensed up and he moved it back on his lap. We made it to the mall and I texted Jaelyn to see where she was at. I saw them and they walked over to where Laurent and I were standing.
"Damn Desi nice car," Larry whistled as soon as he saw me.
"Thank you, my mom, got it for my birthday a couple of years ago," I say as I get my purse out of the car.
"When is your birthday," Laurent asked as he moves his beautiful hair out of his face.
"March 10th," I said running my fingers through my hair.
"Well let's go get some basketball shoes," Jaelyn suggested as we walk into the mall. As we were walking Jaelyn and Larry started holding hands. Laurent and I looked at each other confused. We walked into Footlocker and started looking at shoes.
As Larry and Laurent were looking at shoes I pulled Jaelyn to the side. "Are you and Larry ok?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Yeah why," she asked as she looks at shoes.
"Why were you and Larry holding hands," I asked grabbing a pair of shoes.
"Ok well he asked me out on a date," she said excitedly.
"Oh my gosh, Jae I am so happy for you," I squealed hugging her.
"Thank you, Desi if it wasn't for you I probably would have said no but after you stuck up for me I wouldn't have been able to do this," she smiled hugging me again.
"You don't have to thank me Larry asked you out because he likes you so don't thank me thank yourself for being amazing," I said hugging her again.
"Now all you have to do is start dating Laurent," she winked as we look at shoes.
"Yeah, that sure ain't happening," I said as I try on a pair of shoes.
"You never know I think he really likes you," she said as she tries on shoes.
"Anyway, I think I like these," I said standing up.

"I like those ones those will go great with our uniforms," Jaelyn said putting her shoes back on.
"Who says I am even going to make the team," I asked putting my boots back on.
"You are definitely going to make the team," Laurent said sneaking up behind me.
"Dude you need to stop scaring me," I said holding my chest.
