Inside the dark room stood two men with loaded rifles pressed against their bodies and a hard expression on their faces as they examined me and made sure that my eyes not moved from the screen in front of me.
The younger man with the cropped haircut looks at me sternly as I anxiously follow the scene - Jenny's wedding with The Boss, trying to figure out my ways to escape from here and somehow warn everyone that the plan is going to hell. I was concentrating on my thoughts when suddenly I heard the gasping that came from The Boss's lips as he staggered back in surprise.
"What the hell is going on here?! Where is Jenny?!" The Boss asked, his face pale and confused.
Lavender replied with a broad smile and said, "I'm afraid Jenny will not take part at the wedding today." She shrugged and then added, "By the way, you're going to die soon."
"Of course you'll say that." Naeva's voice cut through the air as she rose from her seat, ignoring the murmurs that began to pass through the room, "You're the one who ruined the plan. I told you not to change our course of action." She sighed deeply, massaging her forehead, "We seem to have to find another plan."
I groaned, trying to hold my head against the screen in front of me.
My hands were tied to a cold metal chair, and I could feel in every cell of my body the pains that the beatings and knives that tortured me a few minutes earlier had left behind.
That will definitely leave a mark, I thought to myself sarcastically, following the events unfolding in front of me.
The Boss seemed to pull himself together quickly because his expression froze abruptly and his jaw stiffened with hatred for Lavender. "Where is Jenny? What have you done to her?"
"It's more right to ask what you were going to do to her." Lavender lifted her arms to the sides, and turned to the crowd that was full of confused people that whispers about the events that happened.
"Ladies and gentlemen! Let me introduce myself!" Lavender bowed slightly and her eyes glinted amusedly at the audience, "I'm sure some of you already know me. My name is Lavender. You know, the one who murdered the prime minister...?"
The whispers in the audience grew louder, and there were gasps of astonishment and fury.
"...Does it ring a bell? Good. So now all I have to do is tell you that you are in great danger."
At one moment the crowd fell silent.
I groaned again in pain, and at that moment I felt something metallic hit my neck. "Shut up! Let me concentrate!" One of the guards screamed at me and I stopped abruptly. "Soon you will go up there and you'll make a show just like your girlfriend."
I bit my lips, trying to hide another cry of pain.
The Boss wanted me to see his wedding - he wanted to make sure I would suffer at any moment for his private pleasure, and then he intends to use me against Lavender.
We played into The Boss's hands. He knew we wouldn't go through it in silence, so he decided to harm us. He knew that one of Naeva's methods was to get an agent into enemy territory, and he knew I will be the perfect distraction.
Thanks to the guards I discovered all this, and now I have to find a way to warn Lavender.
I swallowed a cry of pain, watching Lavender's painfully beautiful face through the screen.
I have to warn her. But how? I won't make it in time. If he'll hurt her...
"...Anyway, I'm here to warn you. Even though many of you are people who are willing to kill me - crime families, gang leaders and more. I say this so that you will remember this day because it will be the day that I'll save your lives."
