222.

I stood in front of the white door with the gold number on it, the key in my hands and Lavender waiting for me to open the door.

And so I put the key in the door lock and opened it.

It was certainly a suite, with a huge bed in the center with a bed scarf adorned with gold ornaments, a giant TV and a burning fireplace that made the room feel almost romantic, unless Lavender was a little less cold for me.

She sat down on the bed, her back turned to me and she began to take off the uniform she was still wearing, ignoring my presence completely, as if I hadn't been there at all.

I stood in front of her, watching her movements as she took off her shoes, slowly buttoned the buttons on her shirt, and after she took it off she remained only in her vest and pants.

I sighed deeply and reached for her face, holding her gently and stroking her slightly warmed cheek, "Lavender, we have to talk about everything." I whispered to her gently.

"Everything?" She replied, looking into my eyes for a second and then turning them away from me.

"I have a question for you that has been bothering me for some time." I said, examining her while she fiddled with her hands, playing with them with discomfort.

"You can ask, I don't promise I'll answer." She replied, her black eyes looking at her hands.

"Why did you leave me? You didn't have to do it, you told me in the past that you are selfish. You could have taken me with you and we could have been together. Why did you do that?" I asked her, gently stroking her cheek.

She moved away from me, causing my heart to contract in pain and gently said, "I had personal things I had to take care of." She didn't elaborate on the subject, and it made me feel like she was stabbing me again and again, like one of her victims.

"Lavender... Amelie." When I said her name, she shrank, "You showed me your name, you chose to show and tell me your deepest and darkest side-"

"That's not true, Nick, you don't know me, you know me at work, not in my private life." She said, rising from the big double bed with the silk sheet to the glass door that faced the sea, studying the view.

"So why don't you show me?" I asked, stood beside her, and decided that I was having enough that she's ignoring me.

I reached for her chin and raised her face to me, putting her lips together with mine for a sudden kiss that made her gasp in surprise.

She didn't struggle and gave in immediately to kiss, put her tongue into my mouth and struggled against mine with all her strength.

I moaned to her lips, pressed her against my chest, running my hand through her short black hair and feeling my heart beating fast.

Unfortunately, the kiss ended too quickly and she moved away from me, gasping quickly and blushing hard with her pale cheeks.

"Let's go on a date." I suddenly whispered hoarsely, and she opened her eyes in surprise.

"Date?" She answered in her own trembling whisper

"Yes, date, let's make it official, we've already managed to say that we love each other but we didn't even dated a single date properly."

"I consider the masquerade to be our first date." She replied with amusement, her black eyes sparkling with the spark I missed so much.

"You really surprised me, I didn't know how to deal with you." She laughed to my words, "When I think about it, I still don't know how to deal with you."
