Charlie Dalton

I've been dreading this day for weeks. I have to go on a double date with my best friend and her boyfriend. The thing is, is that I don't know who my date is.

"Ugh y/n stop being a low-key bitch. He's a great guy. Makes sexual jokes but he's fine" says my friend Amanda. I believe her and all but I'm just not feeling like going out.

She finished my hair and makeup. I put on a long flowy sun dress and a pair of nude flats.
"Ready?" She asks.
"Ready" I sigh. We walk out of the door and go to Jasmine's. A fancy Chinese restaurant.

When we get there, we spot Amanda's boyfriend Tyler and my date, Charlie. On our way over to the table, Amanda stops me.

"Be nice ok? We've worked very hard to convince you two to go on this date" she says with hope in her eyes. I nod and give her a smile. We start walking to the table again.

"Hey babe" Amanda says giving Tyler a kiss. They are couple goals.

"Hi" I say quietly sitting down at the table.
"Hi, I'm Charlie Dalton" he says giving me a smile. He seems more comfortable than I feel right now. Amanda and Tyler have started talking about this carnival that's happening at a baseball feild next week that they want to go to.

"What school do you go to?" I ask, trying to make small talk.
"I go to an all boys private school called Welton. But all of my friends and I call it Hell-ton because it well, is hell." He says with a laugh. I laugh as well because the way he said it was just amazing.

I tell him where I go to school and what the teachers are like. I am slowly starting to feel more comfortable by the second. He's so adorable.

We keep talking throughout our dinner. Around 7 pm, Tyler speaks up.

"Well, we gotta get going. Have to be home by 7:30. Hell-ton is lammme" says Tyler, emphasizing on the lame.
"Yeah we better get going to" I say. With that we all get up and pay for the food. On our way out to our cars, Charlie stops me.

"I really liked tonight. I'm glad that you were the girl that Amanda was talking about. I hope we can go out again sometime soon." He says.

"Yeah! Of course. I really liked tonight. Here's my number, give me a call sometime and we can schedule another date" I respond with a smile. I wrote down my number on his arm in sharpie.

We got into our own card and went home. I'm happy to say that I did receive a call from Charlie that night saying that we are going on a date Wednesday night at 6 pm :)
