Three Days Later

In the middle of the night, I woke up with a start. The past few nights I've been having the same dream. It started off normal, just me getting things out of my locker. Then all of a sudden things turned for the nonsensical.

Samantha appeared screaming at me with her eyes as cold as ice. Then Mason appeared from behind me, covering my mouth with duct tape. I saw the message right in front of me. Samantha was shoving a paper in front of my face with the message from Adrian scrawled in red block letters.

Then what was strange was that Adrian appeared in front of me. He kept on screaming that it wasn't my fault and to save myself. Just when I was about to wake up Adrian screamed, "SAVE YOURSELF DELTON!"

I got up and went downstairs as quietly as I could. I could hear my parents in their room snoring. I opened my younger twin brothers' room and checked up on them.

Calloway and Ryerson hate it when I baby them. They said that since they'll be graduating in one year (pfft from middle school) that I shouldn't worry about them as much. Well, it's not like I can help it. They should be appreciative that they have a sister that cares about them.

I know one kid who could care less about his siblings. Jayden Wells. Ugh, hate that guy. He thinks he's better than everyone because he's so intelligent and athletic. Well, I don't so he better shut his mouth around me.

Unfortunately, I had to spend a good amount of time with Jayden. When the twins were small they both had the biggest infatuation with Jayden's younger sister Cassie. Because of that, I had to go over to the Wells house with my brothers multiple times so they could hang out with her.

Even then, I couldn't stand Jayden's egotistically arrogant attitude. He is so insufferable. Of course, back then it wasn't as bad but still. That guy is irritating no matter the scenario.

After checking up on the twins I went downstairs. I grabbed myself a cup of warm milk with a dash of cinnamon and sat down with my computer in tow. I checked on my Tumblr and saw that I had a multitude of messages from a variety of people.

I saw that most of my messages were from major news sites that were looking for their latest scoop. They were asking why I had such a big role in the so-called unorthodox mystery of Adrian Pi. Well, the sites got one thing right, this is an unorthodox mystery.

When I woke up again later that morning, I definitely did not feel like getting up. I felt incomprehensibly lazy today. Thank goodness it's the weekend.

By the time I managed to convince myself that it was time to get up, the twins were already up and about getting ready for their next baseball game. Wait. Baseball game?

I found my mom in the kitchen cooking my favorite fettuccine Alfredo when I bombarded her with hugs.

"GOOD MORNING MOTHER!"

My mother smiled and put down her things to hug me. "Good morning sweetie. How was your sleep? You slept in quite a lot considering that it's 11:00."

I laughed. "Well, I was tired." I gestured to the twins, "Baseball game?"

"Hmm oh yes. The game was moved from tomorrow to today. It starts at 2:00. Would you mind taking them Lyric?"

Actually I did mind. I planned on having a lazy day complete with popcorn and pillows, but of course being a sister comes with its duties.
