I gave the cashier the money for my gas and my bottle of water. I put 20 dollars worth of gas in the car and $1.57 for my water. I hopped in the car and my phone rang again.
"Ahh hello?"
"Hey Eddy. Its Jenn. You called?" she asked with wonder.
"Yeah. I just want to know if you live still in Miami?"
"No. Heres my new address. 5432 Crowns Kings Circle, Miami, Florida. Why do you want it?"
"Im sending you something." I said with a smile on my face.
It started to rain and its night time. Its dark, I just hope to God that I'll be okay.
"Oh okay, Eddy. Eddy, I got to tell you something."
"I know. Thats why Im sending you what Im sending you. You can tell me then."
"But.. Eddy, its important!"
"I know. Believe me I know."
My phone lost service before I could tell her what I wanted to. I felt like my heart it was shattered and sinking to the pit of my stomach. Why must this happen to me?
One Week Later..
My GPS in my phone is taking me to Jenny's house and Im so excited. Shes going to freak.
"Arriving at destinition."
Oh my god, can this be? Im really at her house. After three years, I still..love her and I am proud to say it. I love Jenny Marshall. I got out of my car and walked up to the door. I rang the door bell and knocked. My heart started to race, then the door started to creep open. Could it be? It was her. Good thing Im dressed in my best suit. All black and white with a blue bow tie.
"Hello?" Jenny asked, "Oh my god!! Eddy?"
"Yes. In the flesh!" I said and hugged her.
I felt as if I was at home and warm and loved. She stared into my eyes and smiled. She leaned in to kiss me and then she had a tug on her pants leg.
"Mommy, who's this?" a little boy asked.
"Oh Dylan, sweetheart," she crouched down to his height, "this is one of mommy's long time friends. His name is Eddy."
"Hi, Eddy." Dylan said with a huge smile on his face.
"Hi. Whats up, little man?"
