Chapter 6: Playing for Keeps

I looked at Jenny and she smiled.

" What are you doing here?" she asked.

" Well first of all, why dont you explain the kid!" as I pulled her aside from him.

We went into the kitchen to the table and sat down.

"Remember when I moved to the easteren part of Miami?"

"Yes, why?"

"Well..after I moved here, I was going to the gas station to get gas and use the restroom. A man had pulled me aside and said I was beautiful. I felt a little comfortable and we went outside to talk. After awhile, he jerked me towards him and he said if I said a word he would kill me and pointed the gun in his pocket at my stomach. And walked me to the bathroom of the gas station and he raped me. Two weeks later, I found out I was pregnant. I didnt know what to do. And you know how much I love children. So I had the baby and Im glad I did." she said as she started to cry and I wiped her tears.

I kissed her cheek and smile.

"Maybe we can take care of him together?!" I said and hoped for possibility.

She looked at me with a comforting smile which had gave me a warm feeling inside. I knew that I couldnt go back to my mother's since Im now 20 years old. I made the decision to come here on my 20th birthday. I couldnt leave, I had to find out if I am in love with her. She makes my heart race, makes my mind all screwy, and most of all, she is the only one Ive wanted since I was 13. Im 20 now and she the only one I've ever come to know.
