Torn - Finn Wolfhard x reader

The audition -part 2

After getting ice cream with the boys I go back to the lounge to wait for my audition. The butterflies in my stomach are going crazy. Nearly all of the other girls are gone now since my audition is the last of the day.

"Y/N L/N?" A woman with a clipboard glances around the room, I stand up, "You're up, sweetie!" She says as I walk towards the room, she grabs my shoulder and gives it a reassuring squeeze as I enter the room.

Noah's stood there in the middle of the room wearing jeans and a navy blue t shirt. He grins at me as I approach him. I look around at the rest of the room, there are a few people sat at a desk. I recognise the Duffer brothers and the others must just be casting directors.
"Hey Y/N!" One of them says, I can't tell which twin it is though.
"Hey." I say back, trying to hide the tremble in my voice. I feel like I've got so much to live up to and I don't want to let Finn down.
"Ok whenever you're ready, just act out the scene we gave you and we'll see whether you two click." A lady to the far right says.
I crack my knuckles and turn to face a smiling Noah.

~AFTER THE SCENE~

I let out a sigh of relief, the scene went super well and I think me and Noah get on really well.
"Wow." One of the duffers says.
"Finn was right, you're perfect!" The other one exclaims.
I give them my biggest smile, this is so great.
"Well, Y/N, we'll make our final decision and call you to tell you the news" the woman on the left says, giving me a wink to indicate that it will be good news. Then I feel a hand on my arm.
"You've definitely got the part, you were amazing." Noah grins, rubbing my arm. Was he just being friendly? I don't know, but I should trust him since he's one of Finns friends.
"Yeah, I look forward to working with you." I say, giving him a small smile. "We should go and find the others, they said something about going to Finns?" I ask.
"Oh yeah. Let's go." He says walking towards the door with a smile still painted on his face.

All the other girls from the lounge had gone home since the auditions were over so Finn, Gaten and Caleb were sat there waiting for us. Finn stands up excitedly as soon as he sees me.
"How did it go!?" He almost screams.
"Good" I say giving him a smirk.
"That's an understatement. She was so amazing, she's got the part 100%." Noah cuts in, putting his arm around me and smiling down, "we're already best friends." I giggle.
"Okay simmer down Shnapp, I might not have got the role." I say looking up at him, he jumps back and everyone screams at me,
"Oh shut upppp." We all laugh.
"Ok, come on then, my moms waiting." Finn says, turning to leave and walking towards the exit. I jog to catch up with him leaving the others behind. I grab his hand and swing our interlocked fingers.
"Happy?" I ask, looking up at him. He looks the opposite of happy.
"Yep." He says, continuing to look straight onwards.
"You sure?" I say, concerned.
"Yeah, I trust you, it's just Noah's annoying me being all 'me and Y/N are best friends', it's like he's trying to do it on purpose." I roll my eyes and look up at him.
"Finn, you have nothing to worry about." I laugh, "I'm sure he's just being friendly. Don't him and Millie have something going on anyway?"
"I guess. It's just after the whole Jaeden thing I don't like to see boys being all over you." He looks down at me and squeezes my hand.
"Look, if I think Noah is being a bit too friendly, I'll tell you okay? I promise."
"Deal." He says, suddenly a lot happier. "Let's just try and have a good time at mine and I'll stop being a jealous asshole." He says with a smile. I giggle.
"Yeah you better." I say as we exit out of the big glass double doors. Finns mums car is there, waiting for us.
