I stared at the sleeping body beside me. I didn't even know how to start the conversation of us getting an apartment together. It sounds good metaphorically, but that could just be me thinking. His mom left, and he has a major drinking problem. I feel like there's more and more reasons pointing towards this step of our life. Dad would probably think we were 'together' and I'd have to keep explaining to him that we weren't. I can't even imagine dating Travis. I shuddered.

When he was sleeping he looked like the sweetest boy in the whole universe. Although, I didn't look at him like that, he was very handsome. He had a scar on his left cheek from wear his dad hit him when he was younger. His ring had cut a gash in Travis's face, he should've got stitches. I tried to get him to, but you can't convince a stubborn 16 year old to admit to anyone that his dad did that to him. The fact that his face wasn't completely free of flaws is what made him so handsome. He had stubble growing, and he looked like a young man. His biceps were rippling out of his muscle shirt, and I did appreciate them, even if I didn't look at him like that.

"What are you thinking about?" His sleepy voice hung in the air as I blushed. If he had heard my thoughts he would've knew about his biceps and about how sexy I thought his sleepy voice was. There was officially something wrong with me.

"I applied us both an application at Walmart, yesterday." He grinned and rolled over.

I was now looking at his back. I rolled my eyes, than rolled over so my back was right up against his.

"You think we'll get it?" He asked.

"I don't know. I mean maybe, it'd just depend on how much they needed employees."

We sat there for a couple of minutes before I spoke up. "You said your mom left, last night." I said quietly. He tensed and I rolled over so I could grab his hand. I pulled his arm over his body and intertwined our fingers. He finally rolled over to face me again. His eyes were clouded over with pain and I had to do everything in me not to take it all back.

He nodded after awhile. I squeezed his hand, before continuing. "Mom and Dad said I could get an apartment." I seen his eyes light up a bit. "and I was wondering if maybe you wanted to get one with me." I mumbled.

"What was that, I didn't quite catch it all?" His irises were dancing with amusement.

"I was wondering," I paused to make sure he caught that. "If you wanted to get one with me. We could split the rent."

He chuckled and my nerves calmed down a bit, I didn't know why I was so nervous to ask him. "What was that again?" He joked.

"You knew what I said the first time I said it, didn't you? Jerk." He nodded his head and I fought a smile.

"I think, that we can do that, but we must get a job first." I squealed as he finished, and jumped on him with a hug.

"You're really excited about this." He muttered into my neck. His thumb rubbed a familiar pattern into my lower back.

"Duh. We're gonna get an apartment!" I shrieked again.

"I'm still hungover, Mace." He rubbed his head.

"Oh, I forgot sorry." I gave him a kiss on the cheek, climbing out of his lap.

"Ibuprofen?" He nodded his head, as I went to get some. I walked past Isaiah's room and saw him laying in his bed.
